[Z06] First time 1/2 mile race

First time 1/2 mile race
Took my 08 Z to Bakersfield for the No Fly Zone 1/2 race on Saturday.
I made 5 runs starting at 40 mph. Best run was 165.8 with my girlfriend in the car.
The slowest was 161 missing 3rd gear.
My car is a H/C Fast 102 intake. I was using Nitto 345 drag radials.
Drove 4 hours from Las Vegas. Car run great.
Amazed how hard it pulls all the way to red line in 4 th.
Saw 1 c7 Z06 running in the low 150’s.
Another was running in the 180’s
A Lamborghini Aventador running 159 160 but he was going full throttle well before the first cones.
Will definitely be doing it again. Had a great time met some nice people.
