I don't have a part number but I know the belt is 75" long. I used a Gates belt.

I see a Gates 75" 6 rib belt in their chart part # K060744RPM. $40 from Rock auto.

All the power steering stuff weighs 10 lbs - pump, reservoir, cooler, lines and fluid. I'm right at 5 lbs per horsepower so that will give me the equivalent of 2 more hp. No biggie but every little bit adds up. But here's another thought. I've seen tests where the pump can take up to 8 hp. Ok that's at high rpm but at cruising it still takes 2-3 hp. Like most other Z06 owners I get 30 mpg cruising at 60-65 mph. That's the equivalent of 2 gallons fuel consumption per hour. It takes .50-.53 lbs of gas per hour to make 1 horsepower. That calculates to about 24-25 horsepower. So by eliminating the 2-3 hp reqiured by the power steering while cruising at 60 mph thats a 10% reduction. Does that mean my mpg will increase 10% to 33? Time will tell.

Got the 75" belt last night and it's a perfect fit. Also looped the 2 lines to the steering rack. Just wondering if those need to be looped. What about just plugging them?

You could try it, but I think looping or even adding a breather or two to the lines will make steering effort easier. I'd think there would be some resistance if you tried to just plug the holes.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the TurnOne power steering pump. It has a **** that allows you to adjust the flow to the steering rack, essentially allowing you to adjust the steering feel and effort however you feel like. Any one have experience with this? I was considering getting one so I could increase the steering feel of the car. My FRS has permanently raised my expectations of how a car should steer ;,(

I put a little slit into the line that I used to loop both ports. The effort to turn the wheel at low speeds is definitely reduced. Going to look for a T fitting so I can attach a small filter to it.

Can you explain further? You put a split in the hose. That's the hose thats looped? And no fluid leaks out? And this reduced steering effort? Also do you have part numbers for the AN fittings for the rack? I'm having a hard time figuring out the ones that will fit correctly.
Another thought I just had is instead of a filter maybe use the ps reservoir. Just hook up the return line as normal and reduce the reservoir to pump line and connect that to the rack input. That would relieve any pressure and also allow any fluid circulation,

With the line intact, you're working against yourself when you're trying to turn the wheel. The air/fluid in the line has no where to go. With a breather, you give the trapped air to escape when turning the wheel and it reduces the effort needed to turn the wheel.
Hope that helps.

Kfab (Kasper Fabrication) Steering rack. Very high quality parts and geometry.. Worked great at the standing miles last year, although I can see where it would be tough on the street.
I was able to maintain a straight, collapsible steering shaft with 2" ARH headers.

I talked to Kfab, and he said no way on a street car. Way to fragile and meant for race car stuff only.
