Guys I have a friend who has a 2007 Z06 and his battery depleted and he couldn't get into the car. His FOB had no key. He had dealership cut one from the VIN and got into the car. Dealership told him his 07 didn't show a key in his FOB but I just looked at an online OM manual and it states the 07 has one in the FOB. Need clarification, did the 07 Z06 not come with one (key). Thanks

The car came with a key but not in the fob. It's separate. I have an 07 so I would know this.

2007 came from factory with a separate key and the old style FOB..

Although you can "retrofit" the newer key and FOB 2008+ (it's documented on the forum)

Are the keys stored somewhere like the glove compartment, cargo storage area, with OM manual packet, or did the dealership just hand it to you? Thanks for you guys reply's.
