Just a small enhancement to the already recognized C6 Z06 exterior...

good looking rear spoiler. I would like something low like that as an alternative to the stage 1 with the torx bits on my 2lz c7z.

Tony -- to the top on this thread -- did you get a video of a stock c6z versus a stock c7z in acceleration runs from a dead stop and from a 4omph roll on up to 150mph+

Just following along this thread and regarding the stock for stock comparison, I doubt it exists, because I think I am the last Stock C6Z owner who hasn't had his "heads fixed", a CAM, or some other changes.

But, I still maintain the roll race from 40 will be like one car is not even moving. If the "driver mod" is what is needed here, I am not going to drop to second gear in every random situation that happens when I am driving to and from work, the gym, or wherever. I had a friend in the 1980's that could make his 80 hp Toyota Corolla shift 1,2,3 without the clutch and chirp third. That kind of driving has to be removed from the testing here. We buy 650 horsepower to not have to start every situation in 1st gear.

Cruising at 40 in 4th, drop to 3rd gear, go. Who wins that?

Nobody wins that race...because nobody races that way. You can go into 3rd at 40 if you want...but most C6Z guys will be in 2nd (or even first in some examples)...and then 3 honk it and let em rip. 3rd gear at 40 mph is cruising, not racing. LOL!

Thanks, "Pb82 Ronin", good advice. I think my experience is that I do need the "driver mod" to get the most of out of my car, but that a newer Z06 would not need that, and that's why I have seen their taillights. Stomp the pedal in a C7Z with A8 automatic, and I don't care who the driver is, you are going to get that published time from MotorTrend magazine every time. Because the technology is there to get you into the power band, which is 150 more horses, by the way.

The other problem is the random "Mexico" race you don't see coming. You are in the wrong gear, and the race has already started. And nobody where I live "honks 3 times", believe me. They come to me with guns already blazing, car about to hit the rev-limiter in 1st, while I am trying to type something into my iPhone. With a Supercharged automatic, no problem. Drop a few gears, and gone. The C6Z has the published times, but those are under perfect execution. The C7Z will do it much more readily.

I had a '16 C7Z A8 and currently have a '18 ZL1 A10 as well as a 427 vert. LS7 is by far the more fun motor IMO. I don't care for the supercharged powerband in the LT4. I don't think I will ever get rid of my 427 as I doubt we will ever see another NA motor like it from GM. The C7Z is probably the "better" car, but I prefer my 427 and it isn't even close!

Yes the 427 is a lot more fun. The high rpm rush is the best. Lt4 is a lunk

Default It's settled, the C7 is a POS (point-of-sale, what did you think l meant?)

Qtr mile speed for the 2011 Z07 (C6) is 127.1mph on motortrend, and 17.0 sec 0-150mph statistic on FastestLaps, so that beats all those C/D stats.

The taillights were changed because the Nissan GTR stole the design.

Couldn't agree more. My C7 is more of a “chic” car IMO. Nice ride, soft shifting A8, great A/C and nice stereo. Wife loves it.

My C6Z is for the dudes, no frills, loud, obnoxious, harsh ride, lousy a/c, stick shift and best of all ... brutal acceleration.

I bought the C7 for long drives, decent fuel mileage, comfort and primarily to keep my wife out of the Porsche since I got tired of clutch issues and brake pads. She won’t go near the C6Z.

I’ll take the 5th that I wrote this post.

Agree with most. Except the a/c in my stock c6z seemed to work better then the ac in my stock c7z.
