Very impressive Monte Carlo.
Not NEARLY as impressive as that garage setup, though!
Damn!

Great story. I love the double spokes (on both cars!)

Update: I finally got around to getting the car emission tested and licensed last week. What a shock when I went to set-up my Bluetooth that it was full but that wasn't the surprise.....the OEM Bluetooth only allows a max of 5 phones so when I asked for a "List" so that I could delete them what a shock to hear that 3 of the 5 phones were in my voice that I programmed in 2011; my work phone, Blackberry and personal cell phone!!!! UNREAL!!!

Then I ordered a battery tender and the next day after the order as I opened my last Moving box in the Shop that I am organizing low and behold I found the OEM 2011 Corvette Battery Tender that I ordered as a $100 option on the car still in the box unopened and NEVER used!!!! I also found my Lloyds ZO6 rear Cargo mat boxed up as well, absolutely unbelievable….this car will NEVER be sold again by me!!! We were destined to be together....

I am very intrigued by the stories of people trading their C7s for older models eg. C6 Z.

Great story, and thanks for sharing. I can imagine the excitement after the car fax checked out and then again after the local inspection was completed with a thumbs-up and then the actions to move quickly on 2nd chance purchase !

Thinking it will now be one of your forever keepers !

700 hp in an ‘88 Monte, now that’s one hell of an upgrade from the stock 180 hp! Up til today I thought my 87 Grand National was badass until I read your story.
By the way, that’s one great looking Z06. Congrats.

Thanks! I've been waiting for over a month for a mural painter to start/finish painting one wall, you guys will absolutely love it and the rest of the Shop.....sorry for the suspense but it will be worth the wait, stay tuned lol, I'll start a separate thread on it because people might not care about the story but they will love the Shop!

What a super story. I am very prone to becoming attached to vehicles, so I can relate...I can imagine the excitement you felt when you realized it was THE car! Congratulations!

...also in for garage pics 👍🏻
