C6 Z06 not starting. Recently swapped motor due to valve drop.
Recently swapped motor, due to valve drop. It’s been over a year since the car has ran. Some people are saying bcm, some are saying starter, some are saying security issue but are not providing fixes or explanations on what to do. For reference this video from YouTube is exactly what happens to my z06 when i try to start it.
someone please give some guidance this is really getting frustrating.

I dont know if this will work but it was what my problem was. When I hit the start button my car would do the exact same thing as yours. I redid my heads and didnt get the connection on the brake controller in front of the alternator fully connected. The error has something to do with the can bus wire not linking. This wired goes through all the different computers. Once I re secured the connection the car fired right up. I hope this helps

Very sorry to hear about your dropped valve. If your car was stock, please contribute to the [Z06] mileage before LS7 engine failure stock thread.
This appears to be the sequence of events in the video:
This appears to be the sequence of events in the video:
- Pressing the map light switch did nothing.
- Pressing ACC did not illuminate the dash.
- Pressing ON illuminated the CEL for several seconds before the dash illuminated and multiple messages were displayed.

Did the swap, yourself?
If so time to recheck all connections/connectors, involved.
Might as well check 3 large blue connectors in fuse well, too.
Honestly, I'd similar symptoms day after I got a never titled '08 home in 3/09.
Turned out battery was too bad to start but not so bad it couldn't send computers into twilight zone.
DIC looked the same.

Not an expert but I think it is your BCM needs reflashed. I noticed your fuel gauge does not read any level. I had a issue similar to this after battery was disconnected for a month after a cam swap. After i disconnected the battery and re-landed all the big connectors on the passenger side floor everything started working

Checked all connections and everything was good. The security light is solid on the dash and I’ve read that means it requires service. I’ve tried bcm resets and security resets and nothing is doing the trick. Taking it to the dealer because i do not have the time or patience for this.

Unless you think the dealer will charge less than 300 bucks, I would invest in a Tech 2 clone. In any case, a motor swap should not require any module reprogramming.

thats wiring somewhere ....maybe BCM
when my starter went out...everything acted NORMAL, except it just clicked instead of turning the engine over....
i left a ground wire off when i did heads/came exhaust/----nothing worked...similar to yours
i tapped a nitrous ground into the pass footwell that affected the BCM and it did what yours is doing...
the ONLY thing i could suggest is (since its been a year since last start up) while your attempting to start the car and mess with plugs/grounds & stuff around the engine , put the key fob in the slot thats inside the glovebox and see if anything changes
good luck, keep us posted
