I have a 2006 Z06 and just installed the elusive cylinder shaped foam (24 inches x 5 inches) bags that go in front of the rear fenderwell behind the door jam. They came standard on later Corvettes I think around 2007-2008 timeframe, they are used to help with road noise. Anyway as usual when taking the rear inner fender out a pound of dirt fell on the floor. I thought I remember reading somewhere here that someone or the factory might have fixed the issue. I can not find the thread. I have the screened air intakes but I think this stuff is coming up from the ground from the bottom of the rear inner fenderwell.
