Default Mods on my LS9

You tell me guys, here is my mod list. AR headers that's ceramic coated along with x pipe, LMR ported sout and throttle body, 85 lb injectors, Griptech 2.35 upper pulley , DSX aux fuel pump, LPE 4 inch Cai, spec 3+ duel dish clutch. Cooling goes eldelblock intercooler, bricks by Kong, and tuned by Kong performance.I had a LS7 that sound great and ran with 520 rwhp but I hated to drive it. It surged at 55,65 no matter how it was tuned. I grew to hate it because of this. My zr1 runs down the road great, non of that ****. I am putting down 739, 742 TQ to the wheel with right fuel. I want a cam but don't want to screw the drivability up like I did before. What's a good cam to use that won't do this. Maybe leave it alone, I have pretty good numbers as is.

Unless you are trying for every last tenth of ET at the track, or do lots of 1 mile pulls on the highway vs 1000+hp cars, I'd leave it alone. I may be wrong, but I think those are excellent numbers with your current mods, especially with the stock cam.

There will be lots of good advice on what cam to run, but since drivability is extremely high on your list of "must have's", I'm not sure I'd mess with it.

You can leave the stock cam and just cnc the heads. You may want to look at a 14% lower pulley when you do that though as porting the heads may drop your boost.

I like my BRT stage 3. No surging. Just a little lope.

Since you are familiar with Kong, have him race port the supercharger and that should get you another 30whp and you won't be thinking about a cam. The driveability will remain the same as now.

Maybe get the Kong billet air devide and 5inch intake while you are at it. They do some lovely stuff!

I went with a Vengeance Racing cam kit plus for my ZR1. I'm super happy with performance and lope.

This is what I will say about a cam. If you are going to do a lower pulley then do the cam. My car hits hard at idle and even if it was only worth 10hp I would still do it for the sound alone. You can lug my car in 6th or crawl through a parking lot and it’s like driving a stock car. The BTR stage 3 and GP tuning stage 3 are almost identical and don’t have massive amounts of lift of really aggressive lobes so you will not be changing valve springs every 15-20k miles like some of the others.

I missed that you still had stock unported blower and just a ported stock snout with that setup. I would do those things for sure.
