He means if you add a ported MSD to a stock cam you would probably see a 20 to 25 horsepower gain and if you added a ported MSD to an existing medium-sized cam you would see even more gains-around 35-40hp. He actually explained it very clearly.

Did you read my reply??
I can easily get 30-40 with a moderate cam even without a new intake, so what does your porting give over the cam (that was the question, care to answer?). Seems like a fair question. Why does everybody get insulting when the conversation goes in a direction they don't like. Seems like a trait of a lot of the forum conversations.
You are so confused

Lawrence, I can assure you that Tony wasn’t trying to be insulting to you. He in all fairness asked you a legit question. The thread he posted is full of valuable FACTUAL information and real data...something that has escaped our grasps in this world of easy type, keyboard king internet. That thread gives you real world numbers, showing you what an MSD intake can do when prepared by Tony, for you. A camshaft, properly spec’ed of course, can and will pick up a substantial amount of power ON TOP of what the intake will do for you, but Tony was referencing a thread about back to back intake testing that clearly illustrates what kind of power gaines you can expect.
I for one am very appreciative for the data that Tony shares with us. He has spent his life analyzing and developing air flow characteristics in ways that have brought HUGE developments to our hobby. But instead of hoarding the data and using it to better his business dealings, he gladly shares it with guys like us. I’m a part of several automotive performance online forums, and Tony is there sharing what he can to give us all a better understanding of what he’s uncovered, and helping us make better decisions in which direction we want to go. You don’t see too many guys doing that these days...

THe problem with deciding on some mod is if you go the wrong cam in for instance, an intake/air filter etc may not give you what the internet claims, then the bad rap peanut gallery chimes in with ignorance.
If you want the most out of it break out the visa, thats hot rodding. No $250 job or youtube dude is going to give you what a top name will.....id be suspect of #s if it did.

Cosetics, service, etc all come with aprice. Something for everyone out there .

I haven't heard of anyone losing any MSD internal bolts in the engine. Anything is possible but probably highly unlikely.

My car puts down 630whp and 540wtq with a moderate size cam (between BTR3 and BTR4), a Mamo ported MSD and ported LS7 heads. I doubt you will get to the 600 mark unless your MSD is ported unless you are using a very large cam.
