MSD porting choices
Curious as to how Mamo porting compares to other tuners? His quality/product is not in question, but I'm wondering if the cost premium (several hundred dollars), even with his current sale, translates to value? I know I've seen the pics of how much material he removes versus 'others', but want to validate if there are gains that are worth the added cost.
I'm not talking about his stealth option, just a simple Mamo ported MSD ($1595 regular price, currently $1445 in group purchase) versus saaaay an AHP ported MSD for $1300 (whom I also have tremendous trust in their quality/product).
I doubt there is any real data to prove anything, just trying to get some experienced opinions to see if I can save some easy money as I plan my cam/intake additions.

Peak does them for $250 https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...peed-shop.html
I think they can do a manifold/TB discount package as well. Always hear good things about them on multiple boards...

I can't say anything about the difference between them but I can tell you that I went with Tony for my MSD. I added a NW102 at the same time I gained 28whp and 29wtq.

Unless you are chasing numbers and going all out, I would just run it out of the box, or do the peak speed shop.

Op we have Ported LS7 MSD Intakes in Stock.
From what we can tell dimensionally and flow wise our ported MSD intakes and Tony's Ported MSD intakes are very very similar!

Do it yourself! From what I saw the MSD intake is rather well made with the only real gains to be garnered from removing the flashing and slight port matching. I spent a couple hours and $25 on a dremel kit for mine.

Now that's funny, it's not just getting rid of material. You need to know what you are doing. You can loose HP by going nuts with a dremel. Look if your trying to save money this isn't the place to do it.

You're absolutely right. Hence why I stated there isnt much that needs to be done. Mamo and AHP produce excellent products, but if OP wants to save money and should so choose, it can in fact be done here.

Drifting
Also, try to match the runners to the heads. Turbulence can be created if not. Intake airflow and turbulence is not rocket science it takes a while to learn and figure out though.
My ported MSD just sold to a guy who is going AI/B3 so it will be interesting to see what happens lol. Mine is not as ported as a Mamo to keep things on the safe side. I would guess mine would be within 5 rwhp or so.

make it self but i dont think thats not so good as Tony Mamos port. I can understand why thats so expensive to the porting that's a Lot Work.
That what i say can is on the stock heads with mild cam It's not worth it is my opinion.
But with ported heads with any stage 3 cam or rpm cam and ported Msd with 1 7/8 headers or 2 inch headers it's worth it i think.

To each his own, I'm happy with the results of my Mamo MSD. Could I have ported it myself? Sure, would i have seen the same proven results? No. I wanted the most HP I could get out of it. I'm happy with the money spent VS results on the dyno.

on your setup is the ported msd not so effective.
I have saw some dyno charts of ported MSD and its very strange...

Look my last Post.
I doubt no measurement I'll teach me a better it should be no criticism.
but some things I find special
