I'm ordering from Kong Perf soon - $1125 but I feel more comfortable than someone not very friendly (and he's the owner but won't post name) Maybe we should ask for a group buy deal?

I’m game, as long as KP has them IN STOCK. Greg is good people. I just chatted with him over the weekend. Let’s see if he’ll give us a discount. I’ll get a refund from DMS, if necessary. How are we going to do this?

I just talked to Greg, he has reinforced OEM GM cooling bricks in stock and they will ship today. I didn’t ask for any discounts. I just want them in my hands ASAP!

We’ve been over this, I did call them and they don’t sell new reinforced GM bricks. The day my old bricks come out, is the day the new bricks go in. One day of down time, not three or four, or longer.
My New Kong bricks were shipped today and will be here Friday. Thanks Greg! #kongperformance

Ugh.. That's a bummer RE: DMS --- I guess I lucked out when I ordered my bricks.
FWIW, I've been eyeing their heat exchanger system for awhile now and just noticed it's $2500 vs. $2000 from the last time I checked...

DMS has raised their prices on everything ZR1 related. The bricks went up to. My Kong Bricks arrived today and they look beefy! $300 plus more than DMS, but that’s ok, I feel better when my stuff is in hand, especially as we’re closing in on my speed shop appointment. I did get the replacement O rings and the new insulators. I appreciate you giving me the info on those.

I was scanning on a ZL1 Camaro today that had an upper and lower pulley. He was having heating problems the last couple years at sebring. Tuned and build by a shop that went out of business. He checked his intercooler fluid last month and it was near empty. He added about a gallon of coolant. Driving today during the scans, his IAT2 were in the 240s. So for a couple years he tracked the car with IATs above that. After the first scan, he added almost another 3/4 gallon to his system because the intercooler pump only came on for 17-20 seconds then stopped. After topping off the intercooler, the pump stayed on, and after several WOTs the IATs stayed in the 150s-160s.
I told the owner before he tracks the car again to look at the bricks to see if they melted because he gave them the perfect opportunity to fail. I hope to hear back from him to see what he finds.

That’s a legit concern! One of my first questions that I’ll ask my shop after they complete my work, is how much intercooler coolant did they add and was it bled correctly. I don’t trust anyone!!
