Same RPS BC2 as before. I just sent it back to RPS and they rebuilt it with new upgraded internals.

Steel

Thanks!

Congrats Rob, I know exactly how it feels to literally spend YEARS trying to accomplish a specific goal and then BOOM, it comes together! Nothing can wipe the smile or diminish the sense of accomplishment that you have now....savor it my friend!

I know that we can't get you to elaborate on what constitutes a "very mild SR cam" but can you share the raceweight, fuel and gearing used?

I was certainly on Cloud 9 the entire day and haven't stopped smiling since. The cam isn't really secret, it's small for a solid roller. 240's/250's duration .690ish lift utilizing some aggressive lobes from Comp. I had a much bigger HR in it last year but it wasn't working in the rpm range I needed it to so i switched back to a smaller more aggressive SR that compliments the MSD intake a little better.
Raceweight is approx 2900 with a 1/4 tank of gas without me in the car and I weigh 175. The TR6060 transmission is geared MZ6 ratio built by Seb. The ZR1 diff was built with a wavetrac and DSS shafts but retains 3.42 ratio.

I haven't put the car on a dyno since I had to rebuild the shortblock due to a spun rod bearing last year but i guesstimate its making some impressive torque and horsepower.

Thank you for the kind words sir!

Fore Innovations rails. They come with spacers and everything to bolt right up.

Thank you sir.

Crower shaft mounted steel rockers and I have Steward Performance solid lifters. I use some beefy Manton pushrods. The lifters were recommended by Kip the owner of Cam Motion. No issues at all with either.

Any plans, or have you run the half or full mile with it?

Just gonna keep tweaking and see if i can get it to run a 9.6x or even 9.5. I could easily take some more weight out and I have a race fuel tune I will try in the fall with some even better DA. I would love to try a 1/2 mile event. The wannagofast in Virginia was cancelled so I would have to trailer it somewhere but hopefully in the future i can see what it will do. I would imagine 172+ shouldn't be an issue.

I agree 172+ should be realistic. I'd be really curious to see your results. I'm on my own journey to try and hit 200 mph in the mile. It is really hard these days to find NA cars doing it, and back half numbers with forced induction just aren't comparable.

The engine package I'm putting together I imagine will go low 140's in the quarter, so I'd love to know what your half and mile speeds are.

do you have any details from your Solidroller camshaft ? is this roadworthy ? there are no problems with the cam and which pushrod length do you drive ?
How much whp has your mods ?

and why is your MSD not ported by MamO your car Runs 9 sec on the 1/4 meile with Mamo MSD

( it was just a joke with the msd )

Also your car is not a Joke nice build man :-)

and if you have time and lust test your 60-130mph times that was interesting me (with vbox dragy or anyhting )

Its very roadworthy and has good street manners but does require some maintenance so it's certainly not for everyone. I have to pay close attention to valvetrain noise and if it seems noiser that usual i pull the valve covers and adjust rocker lash or I just check them hot and cold periodically to make sure its in spec. I drive the car to and from the track and on the street frequently. I use dual taper Manton pushrods and i had to measure for correct length.

I dont have a Dragy and don't want one but the car would certainly do 60-130 in the high 5 sec range.

Have not put the car on a dyno. It probably makes in the neighborhood of 640/550
