Default ZR-1 clutch in a Z06

So what parts do I need to mount a ZR-1 Clutch in my 06 Z. I currently have a Monster Lt-1 an it is very noisy. At my horsepower levels 540 rwhp a ZR-1 clutch do be quieter an OK for my needs.

I don’t have experience with monster clutch lt1-s, but I read good compliments about it.

Zr1 is a downgrade and no one should be using it since the newer c7 stuff is an upgrade.

What C7 options work with an 06 Z?

Monster LT1-S. I’d buy it again when it’s time for a replacement.

Mine is dead silent. What noise does yours make?

I had a Katech LS9X in my ~630rwhp Z06 with good results. I had a carbon twin disk in it, but I didn't like how it drove at all (too noisy). The organic clutch didn't track as nicely (slight delay to disengage), but for the street it was fine.

The LT1-s is a c7 clutch. Which is a newer/better design of the OEM dual disk setups, and the ls9 is has a worse design and isn't nearly as good.

If it is making noise, you have an issue to fix.

C7 didn't exist yet when I had my 2008 Z06. Good to know about the LT1 clutch. But I wouldn't say a twin disk from a C6 ZR1 is a "downgrade" from the single disk in the LS7. It's still better than the single disk LS7 clutch. LS7 < LS9 < LT1.

My stock C6 ZR1 clutch is holding my 672rwhp just fine. If it ever goes out, I'll definitely look into the LT1/LT5 clutches.

Not a downgrade compared to stock c6z but to what he has and a c7 clutch.
