Strange issue with the traction control. The Service Traction System light/message comes on only when I cruise at a steady speed between 30 and 40 mph for a mile or two. But once I go above 50 mph the light/message disappears. I assume the issue is a bad speed sensor, but thought once they go bad they stay bad and the light/message would stay on all the time. Anyone else experience this? I tried to do a search, but it appear there is a problem with it. TIA

I don't have a code reader so I'm not sure. Have an appointment tomorrow so hopefully they can figure it out. Of course now that I've made an appointment, I can't duplicate the problem.

If its a speed sensor, it'll throw a code...but those don't really go bad often. Usually cleaning the connector can clear that.

If I remember right there was a recall to add a ground wire to the sensors.
