I've had mine on for some time now and I was surprised at how much smoother the ride is. Overall they're a good investment.

That was not my experience; an upgrde yes, but not nearly the hype you read on here. Car still rides like a Z06, just more stable in faster turns, spirited driving. Not an appreciable difference in harshness, etc. To be clear, I don't regret the purchase, I needed new shocks regardless.

My wife asked what was different about the ride as it was smoothing out the bumps going over bridges etc., not knowing I had replaced the shocks the week prior. That is saying something considering mostly her comments are too loud, too fast, stereo is too loud etc.

Shocks came in today! Opened up the box and to my surprise they gave me a free set of upgraded bushings. Once this heat wave goes away i will install them. I will keep you guys posted once they are on the car.

Man you ain't lying about the heatwave; supposed to be bad thru Sunday. Had a storm come thru last evening and didn't do much to cool things down. Have fun with the install, it's fairly easy and the ziptie method works great. Rule of thumb is to tighten the upper nuts until the bushing swells to the same size as the washer if anyone was curious.

Well I put the shop fan on and went to work! DRM's are installed. Haven't gone for a ride yet, car is still in the air since the new side skirts are coming in on Thursday. Install went well, fronts definitely the hardest. Rears were real easy.

Wondering about the bushings making much of a difference. They say $25 in the description, and then the drop down says $30, yet you got them for free. Might just roll the dice and run them with the Bilstein bushings when I order.

Well I ended up using the poly bushings instead of the rubber. Haven't driven it yet so I will update once I have. I don't know if it was a mess up or they were just throwing them in as a bonus. Possibly they are just included with the shocks now.

Also the stock bushings and the poly bushings have a Male and a female end. This is because the hole that the shock goes in is much bigger then the shock shaft. The bushings that come with the bilsteins do not have this. This would leave me to believe that if you don't reuse the stock GM or the Polys the shaft would rub the shock mounting hole and move around. Just my opinion.

Took the vette out last night to dinner, I do feel a difference. Feels less harsh over bumps. Didn't get a chance to get aggressive in the turns yet. But over all so far I do feel like they smoothed the ride a bit. Very interested to see how it affects hard turns with bumps, I always would skip around with the stock shocks.

Mine skips over bumps also ('06) I think it was common for all the early cars until they revised the shocks. Glad it feels better!

Anyone not sure if they should get these should for sure do it. I replaced the stock c6z shocks at 12k miles, I now have around 15k miles and I can say it made a huge difference in control and ride quality. Money very well spent!

EDIT: I also did go with the optional poly bushings and had no trouble with install, they fit well and would use them again.

Would these replace the Selective Magnetic ride? I have the Z07 option. Something is way wrong with the way the car rides and handles lately.
