Jim Mero Suspension, MRC Upgrade
Just wanted to let you know about this. Some of you have done it, but if you have not you have to. I like my 11 ZR1 very much but our roads here in Panama (the country) are not so good. So I drove it very little, the suspension in these cars is very rough, a bit too rough for my taste (dont bash me). Well I learned by a post of another member about Jim Mero´s suspension mod and sent and email to Jim. He is one of the nicest guys you can deal with, ask as many questions as you want, even if its not related to his suspension upgrade and you will get a quick answer. He helped me a lot and understood that since I was in another country I probably was not going to be able to meet the 10 day return for core refund and gave me more time.
To make things short, I swapped the upgrade and waoooo, the car is very confortable to ride now. He has many options but I choose like most, New Tour/New Sport. Now I can ride the car everyday if I wanted, wayyyyy more confortable but still sporty. Bumps are felt like 60-70% less than before. Guys if you have no tryed it you should give it a shot, contact him. I am so happy I did it and can enjoy my car wayyyyyy more and way more often.
Just to clarify, he did not give me anything free or paying me, I´m just very happy I did this and wanted to share about the mod and about him.
Thanks
Jay

Has anyone tried this new update out at the track? Is it easier to drive at the limits? Gives more confidence?
I don't care about street driving, after driving many other sports cars I honestly don't understand how anyone thinks the zr1 is rough and i never even use touring mode. So I'm not looking for a smoother ride, I'm just looking for better lap times.

When your roads are a POS you will understand. I can say that 80 % or more of the ZR1 owners don’t go or care about lap times. But yes Jim has the track setting also.

Did my 11 with Jim live this past summer during the museum corvette caravan & setup he had there.
Then drove the car back to Wisconsin....
A NOTICEABLE ride improvement...especially in tour.
Great upgrade and worth every penny.

Jim stopped by my place Oct. 3rd.to do the upgrade and shared a few stories and some videos. Didn't get a chance to drive the car until today because of the lousy weather. Jim did the new Tour and Supersport upgrade. There is now a distinct difference in the settings. Tour now takes the sting out of the bumps while it still allows the car to be agile, much more comfortable and corners flat. Steering seems to be crisper but the temperature was a little cool today and traction was an issue. Sport (Supersport) was immediately noticeable and though I couldn't really push the car It feels like I now have the best of both worlds. Tour is what tour should be and Sport (Supersport), though I couldn't really test it out feels like an improvement. Can't wait until I get a warmer day to see how it works.
Thanks Jim Mero!!!

yes, I have the track calibration for my 2011 Grand Sport. My car sees 7-8 track days a year at BIR and Road America. My car is much more “tied down”, dramatically less body roll and brake dive. Car feels more nimble and predictable.

swap to z06 or zr1 leaf springs, the front gs spring has a very low spring rate. I switched to a z06 set in my 12 gs and i am now happy with the suspension, it is sooooo much more "balanced". I cant wait for Mero too do his thing too.

I saw the VMP crew on I-45 getting onto the Hardy toll road yesterday afternoon. Some impressive looking cars, including a C6 ZR1, on trailers. Should be a fun event as long as Mayor Turner doesn't shut it down.
