I decided to do mine. Dealership was charging way too much. And it wasn’t that bad at all, just a little messy. For the manual trans it took 3.5 qts of Royal Purple Syncromax and I used 3 qts of RedLine ShockProof gear oil.

Is syncromax more of a gear oil as apposed to an ATF?

Royal Purple Syncromax is a performance manual transmission fluid.,Shifts are smoother and quieter, lowers trans temperature. Search RP Syncromax

+1 RPS is what RPM recommends and installs in their T-56's (including mine). Very much like Mobil 1 ATF, resulting great protection plus smoother shifts.

Somewhere I saw a video that said after you change the trans fluid you should warm up the fluid to 88-122* and check it again.
Can't remember where I saw it. Does anyone do that? if so why? because the fluid expands?
