Honestly, I can think of any pros to putting the entire assembly up together, only cons. It's only 6 bolts to separate the torque tube from tranny.

Got a little more done today. Starter is in, headers are in loosely, tunnel plate is up, and all wires sensors are plugged in. Tomorrow I should be able to get the exhaust up.

Burning Brakes
I watched a You tube of a guy changing the clutch on his C5 Z06. He said the flywheels on the LS6 are externally balanced after the engine is assembled and the new flywheel
needed to be weighted to match. Is this a thing and if it is does that carry over to the LS7?

When I did a clutch swap on my 2002 C5 Z06, both the old and new clutches assemblies were already balanced as was indicated by balancing weights and or drilled inventions/holes in the flywheels. Just swapped the clutches and reassembled. No vibration after install either.
Same for when I did a Monster twin disc on my Grand Sport. Clutch was already perfectly balanced from Monster.

Yes - GM hot balances every one of them after it’s installed in the car. Technically yes you want to copy the old clutch balance with the new one. However many do not and are “ok”

I have done multiple clutch jobs on C5's and C6's, I am in my 70's and take it apart and reassemble in pieces,(I think it's easier, no lift) I am in the process of replacing the duel clutch in our New Holland tractor, now my friends it's a major job compared to a vette

A little more progress, line lock is installed, and brakes are blead, I just have to finish wiring it up but will do that when I install shifter/console. Exhaust is in, what a dick, I had to go buy a pipe expander tool to be able to put it all back together, everything was way too tight. This is a pretty cool tool and did the job I needed it to do. From the reviews I read online it actually does a shitty job if you're trying to expand pipe, but for just opening things up a little like I needed, it worked like a charm. All I have left is oil change, intake, and shifter/consol.

Just wanted to update, the car is done. I finished yesterday and so far, so good, no problems as of yet. Took it for a decent cruise today and I have to admit it really does feel like the stock clutch as far as pedal goes. It is grabbing a lot harder than stock obviously and shifting a lot smoother than stock. Ill make a review thread about the clutch after like 500 miles or so to give my honest thoughts. Monster recommends removing the clutch pedal spring, but I have done so yet.

Any updates after the 500 mile break-in?
Awesome thread btw, Ill be using it when I do my in the near future. thanks for all the info and pictures!

I am well over 500 miles on the clutch, still very happy and glad I did the swap. I said I would make a review thread but been lazy and haven't yet.

Right on glad it’s working well.
How’s is the noise/rattle while you’re in neutral? I know most twins rattle (floater plate) so o figured triples do too.
hoping to get one on the less noisy end as mines a street car mostly

I do not have any more noise than I did with the stock clutch. Others disagree on this matter, maybe I just got lucky.

Le Mans Master
Do you have the updated clutch master cylinder? I had an issue with mine that was causing a stiff/springy pedal. I swapped to the newer version and the pedal effort is much better and predictable. I've seen where people had issues with the clutch pedal sinking with the older style master.
I'd never recommend a triple disc clutch for a all motor setup but I do understand not wanting to do it again.
