Default No power to MAF

Just started the car for the first time after a 3.5 year build and now the MAF isn’t getting any Hz. Any ideas what could be the issue? Swapped the MAF with another one and still no power. IAT is working though. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.. thanks!

Without even looking at a wiring schematic MAF sensors use 3 wires…a 12 volt feed (pink), a signal (yellow), and a black or black/white ground…the power is normally fed through an emissions fuse and that fuse is usually powered by a powertrain ignition relay…with the engine running do you see 12 volts on the pink wire ??…with a 12 volt test light connected to B+ does the test light illuminate when probing the ground wire ??…do you see a 5 volt reference voltage on the yellow ??

I saw a read up of this but my voltmeter isn’t reading anything. Would it pick up power by just touching the wires? Or I have to get metal contact to the actual wire?

Is it possible the thermostat for the g speed dual oil coolers is messing with it? I have the thermostat plugged into the #14 fuse and that’s the emissions.

No, touching the wire won’t work so you have to get contact to the metal terminal !!

You DON’T want to have this kind of stuff tapped into the emissions fuse !!…BAD BAD IDEA !!…remove it and retest !!

Yeah that was my issue.

G speed specifically says to use that fuse area for the oil cooler thermostat. I’ll ask them where else I can plug it into because that’s not gonna work. Thanks for mentioning the emissions!

On my 2008 you can see that the fuse 14 power splits off and feeds the MAF sensor and also the EVAP Purge Valve…so now you have 3 components drawing power from the fuse.

I don’t have the evap purge valve anymore. Everything emissions has been completely removed. So would just 2 be fine from that circuit?

You still should check power on that circuit with a DVOM…power, ground, and signal !!…that’s all I can suggest.

Check your lines for breaks, 3.5 years is plenty of time for a 🐀 or 🐁 to get in and chew **** up.

Was missing a fuse in the g speed dual oil cooler thermostat harness. This is the cleanest engine bay you’ll ever see, no rats have been in my garage.
