Default AHP Package 4 heads, what are they worth?

I have a set of AHP Package 4 heads with about 3000 miles on them I am going to be putting up for sale, just curious what they are worth?
I also paid extra to have them CNC ported to.

Well you did not mention which intake and exhaust valves, what valve guides have been specified, what springs are included and which porting program was used, and whether the heads have been milled for higher compression ratio. Since core heads have not been mentioned, this would also be a non-factor. If I understand what the OP is thinking of selling, it appears that purchase of his heads new at present would cost slightly more than $3000 for the pair, plus shipping. Now the question becomes, what is the life expectancy of these heads and what will they be worth later? I will condition this by stating that I have purchased AHP Stg IV heads with reused tumble polished intake valves and Ferrea 2042 hollow stem exhaust valves and MS90 valve guides. All upgrades.. 20k miles after install, the valve guides were all trash and the Ti intake valves were all damaged beyond consideration for reuse. I spent over $6000 to have my heads totally reconditioned to get away from the damage.

So getting back to your question, if the new value of your heads minus installation cost is $3000 and you have used 3000 miles of the life cycle, what is left is 27/30 0f the original parts value.

Yah I guess I could have given a lot more information, so I apologize for that, I was just looking for a ballpark price to ask for them.
AHP Package 4
Hardened PM valve guides
New Ferrea Hollow SS Exhaust Valves
Reused treated and tumble polished GM Titanium intake valves
Performance valve job
Milled .010
New Viton seals
GM LS7 Valve springs
AHP cnc porting

from what I’ve seen stock ls7 heads are going for around 1,000 dollars used
I would think your heads are worth more than that

Yes, stock LS7 castings are sent to AI for machine/port work.

Right on. I remember you saying you went to the B3 cam but didn't realize you did the heads as well. Your car must be a monster now.

Yes, way faster and it honestly has the same drivability. I wish I did it from the get go.

Awesome man, good for you.

If I could go back in time I think I would have gone with a tried and true package instead of cobbling parts together on my own.

My problem stemmed from my C5 Z06, I went way too big of a cam with that and ruined the car, it drove like ****, and I was so sorry I did it. So, when I got my C6 Z06 I swore I would never go with a big cam. As like yourself, I did a ton of cam research (i think we did it together I remember talking with you about it) so I went with a baby cam. Yah it was ok but I was never really happy with it, then I started to drag race the car and realized I wanted more.

Yep I hear ya, I had the same concerns as you. I love how my car sounds and the drivability is good, but i was definitely a bit disappointed with total power, especially after the last stage which was cam and ported intake. I did my heads on their own first as budget was a consideration at that time, but the following year that changed and I would have been able to do a full build and not worry about it. Didn't know that at the time though, so what can you do. At this point it is a lot of money and hassle to replace parts for some power gain. I don't think I have it in me.

Yah, I understand 100% as I was not happy with my power, but in the end it was my choice of parts. I'm in a little bit different situation as I do all my own work, so the kit only cost me $5000 and it was money well spent in my opinion. You can go with alot bigger with camshaft when it comes to the LS7, so don't be afraid to throw a bigger cam in it, the drivability with the B3 cam is great, I have no complaints.
