Dave hill said the next Z06 will not look like the C6.He stated it will look
much different than the current model.

I agree, keep it a FRC style. No coupe and especially no VERT Z06!

427 is a good name for the new C6 fast vette so people'll call it C6 427 but I don't think it'll be a coupe!

Thanks for your excellent work. While your rendition looks great, my personal opinion is that the "New Z06" will be visually as well as mechanically very different from the C6 Coupe.

The engine will set the tone of the new Z06 with 500 HP and things like variable valve timing, dry sump, and higher rpm limits. The rest of the car will be engineered around the engine. This means a very stiff and light chassis, which can not be achieved with an open roof design. This is why I think the Z06 will be a hardtop, possibly with a fast back design. The chassis could easily be made of aluminum for strength and weight savings, and have a stiffness in the 30 hertz range. Some of the body pannels could be carbon fibre for lightness and strength. The suspension, wheels, tires and drivetrain will have to be stronger to handle the increased horsepower, acceleration and cornering power. And, the brakes will be huge with ceramic rotors and 6 pisotn calapers. Horsepower alone will not do it. I think we should expect a Z06 that is a Viper Killer not just a dolled up version of the C6. This is my opinion, and I still think your work is great.

Dave Hill was interviewed in Road and Track magazine and he said that it would be a "Fixed-roof coupe only". To me, with that choice of words I would think it would be like the FRC of the present Z06. Though you could still have a fixed-roof coupe with a fast back technically.

Why not? I think it looks better. It looks like a hardcore sports car, not a compromised touring/sports car. Just my two cents.

That looks like the C6 in some kind of way. This probably wont resemble the C6 Z06 due to the fact that Dave Hill, like someone else mentioend, will not look like the C6.
