If only the Z06 would look like that... (pant, pant)???
If only the Z06 would look just like the rendering in the upper right hand corner of page 59, February issue of Road and Track..., there will be one in my garage.
Even my frugal wife thought paying over $60K for a Z06 that looked like that would be okay. (Sorry, I don't know how to reproduce that rendering, to include in this thread, but someone smarter than I, could you please?)

Know the sketch. First thing I wondered was if it was a styling sketch for the Z06.

I just got the mag last night and I wondered the same thing.
Lower front fascia ducts, rocker panel ducts, and a cockpit duct in the roof. And I wonder how much of the wide hips is a function of the sketch style and how much is a reflection of Z06 bodywork. Probably all sketch style, but it's nice to fantasize.

The roof duct might have been a design carry over from the early C5-R LeMans car. The one I'm talking about is silver and has the "LeMans luggage" access panels in the rear and no side ducts. GM has rolled it out to some of the car shows around Detroit. The roof duct brings cooler air to the rear brakes and that assignment is already covered by the side ducting......
Personally, I think the sketch is just that, a sketch. I know the all-out-performance people here will say "remember what the targa top did to the C4 body flexing?" but personally I'd prefer an open air roof. If it's not available, oh well. That would be one of the things I'd have to take into consideration when deciding if I was going for the Z or the 'vert.
We'll have to wait and see what Maximum Bob Lutz and the crew from Warren come up with......
