I am also pretty positive those are the fastest and quickest factory production runs ever for an american car!
Also Racerns I have to say that 1.70 short time on stock tires is amazing!
Thanks, Jamie. You're going to have fun figuring the car out. They're all a bit different. Looking forward to your reports.

Thanks, blownlt1&c6z for bearing witness to the post #1 passes. Great watching you make your C6Z break into the 10s. Good to see you and WayneCar back at the track.

Thanks Jamie (and everyone else) for the congrats. At least I will get to keep the title for a week or so. . I do seem to have the launch down, on stock tires at least, now I just have to learn to row the gears like you and Ranger. (Not sure that will ever happen)

Congrats on the blazing time!! Obviously you are an awesome driver!!

Do you know who assembled your engine at Wixom PBC? We're wondering who gets the bragging rights.

Just wondering, how many miles on the ZR1 now vs. how many the first time out? Is the car getting faster with more miles?

Geez my drag race car with 625HP and a 1.40 60' will only go 10.17@130.... and doesn't drive anything like my ZR1

The first time out it had around 2500 miles on it and for this event it was as 5600 miles. I am not sure that it is getting any faster though. We gained maybe 1mph in trap speed since the first time out but there are many other factors to consider that can affect that like weather, driving technique, cool down time, etc...

I don't remember exactly what the mileage was back in April, but I think it was aroung 2500. It had about 5700 on Monday. The higher mileage may have had a small positive affect, but I feel the major reason for the improvement is mainly driver experience with the car, and the better weather.

The ground rules for the short-notice event were that owners/drivers would do their own reporting, if any. So there may be separate threads at some point. I spent most of the day coaching rather than driving or note-taking. great to see some folks make it into the 10s for the first time.

Thanks, checkmate. Chris shot great videos for us, as always. I'm finishing up the post-production on them now and should have them up in Post #1 of this thread in this evening.
