People have. BUT it looks very nice. The top is a shinny perforated vinyl. Most who see it when we display it say, "wow...that does look nice..."
But you could always place a lloyds mat right on top too...
The pieces behind the seat you can't see because...well they are behind the seats. However what many are doing here on the forum are placing those under the carpet. Since the carpet behind the seats are not tacked or glued, you can easily lift it and slide it under..
Either way your good to go.
Call in for the special or pick it up at the show (Carlisle). We will be at ID78 & ID79 near the grand stand stage.

But you could always place a lloyds mat right on top too...

Just received and installed my set of Blockit sound deadening mats. The mats definitely have a positive impact on reducing road noise. The rear mat is cut for an absolutely perfect fit and the Lloyds rear deck mat completely covers them. The mats that fit behind the seats are not fitted to follow the taper of the seat but I believe they will be easily trimmed to help make them less visible. All in all well worth the small investment. Glad I purchased.

Behind Seats
Just finished preparing my car for the Minnesota winter. While I was putting it up on the lift it was easy to stop it halfway and have perfect access to behind the seats without being on my knees. I was able to lift the carpet out from under the trim pieces with no problem. The mats fit beautifully under the carpet with no trimming required. The carpet slipped back in under the trim pieces with no issues. I have to admit that I had some trepidation about removing the carpet and not being able to reinstall it properly. It was easily accomplished. The technique that worked for me was to very firmly pull down on the bottom of the carpet on each side after sliding the carpet under the trim pieces. This seemed to seat the carpet under the trim pieces in its original position. The Block-It is now completely invisible and really does cut down the road noise.
