There is a GM bulletin regarding the ZR1 that says do not wax carbon fiber. What color is Rejex?

I would test it on an edge of the splitter first. It dries clear and came from the aerospace/aircraft industry as a sealer. I used it on my Z06 and never had any problems. I plan on using it on my ZR as soon as I can get it cleaned up and ready to seal. Let us know what the results are if you decide to test it out.

I have used Adams Americana Paste Wax on the CF many times on the ZR1 and the results were spectacular!
I have not tried Rejex before, but you definitely want to stay away from any waxes that are colored which may ultimately fill the pores in the CF finish and leave a discoloration or fail later on. The product I used above is a very thin almost clear wax, and once applied it leaves a minimal haze that just buffs right off.....

The only possible drawback is that some vax residue could get into some pinholes or dimples that may remain even after the clearcoat is applied to the CF pieces. This is only a "real" issue on the underside of the hood which is not clearcoated.
Cosmetic issue only.

Helps reduce drag at 177mph.

I use Zaino's Clear Seal or Opti-Seal. They are both WOWA products (wipe on walk away). They do not haze so there is no issue with carbon fiber. I have the Katech carbon fiber aero package on my Z06. Have not had an issue.

Definitely give it a try. I was first using Zaino's Clear Seal but tried the Opti-Seal since it is really big over on the Porsche forums. I think it has a slightly better shine, but that is very subjective.
Optimum OptiSeal is a pure polymer sealant with UV protection but contains no wax, silicone or cleaners. It can provide up to 9 months of protection.
Here is a decent review at Autogeek.

Geez, I feel like a sales rep.

LOL. Yeah but those damn bugs on the front of mine cost me a couple mph.
So you don't use wax. You just wipe this stuff on after washing?
Thanks for the link. That's cool.

Exactly. A black wax can be used as suggested by GM. I would suggest using instead either Zaino and Rejex as both are polymer polishes and will not leave a residue to hide in the pinholes and dimples. GM's warning is for cosmetic issue purposes only.
