First I have to thank the biggest contributor to todays passes/ETs is Kyle Lemish. Without his incite todays would have definitely not been possible. I had a lot of support at the track today which made it all the more fun. The stock 2009 ZR1 with Drag radials only performed better than I thought it would be able to in the weather at hand. In the end though as I told Kyle my goal was a 10.49 but I didnt want to tell anyone the lofty goal I had for myself. Fear of failing miserably held in there pretty well. I watched video after video of Kyles runs, Rangers and others listening to how the car would sound on the launch, what the shifts should be like everything I could think of to study. The DA started off my first pass around -900DA and I believe the DA started to away to around -300DA. Cant get a complaint in the weather department. I do feel it was a clean DA day which no 2 DA's are created equal IMO. With that said heres a break down of the runs.

Arnold brought along the best videographer I've EVER EVER seen!!! Cant this little guy enough! He gets the angles, the shots that count. He was videoing all day and rushed the vids up!

Been waiting to see the results of today.
DAMN BRO!!!...Excellent passes!!!...Looks like you've seen the light (first pic).
I believe you have the record for trap speed?...
Congratulations on having a great (to say the least) first outing with your ZR1.
We'll be waiting for results on stock tires...maybe next time?...

Impressive for sure! Nicely done, good shots and video. Looks like the DR is shorter helping with the gearing a bit.

Wow. Just wow.
Great driving.
Should have titled thread "Bone stock ZR pulls both front wheels off the ground on launch".
That is fine application of power.
Congrats, man.

I would've thought NO FN way the wheels pop up until Kyle completely proved me wrong and the other white one on here from Florida. I just couldnt believe it was even possible. I even proved myself to be a idiot and wrong. They definitely do pop up on hard launches. I believe this is partly due to the ZR1 has I'm guessing 1inch less suspension travel and the magnetic ride doesnt let the wheel fall down as fast. Possibly stiffer suspension making it happen aswell.

Way to go! Your shifting sounds like an automatic, you really have it down pat.
I can hear you slipping the clutch quite a bit more on the last run and it really worked!
An amazingly fast car, and very well driven.
Got any scans? Would love to see the launch rpm, technique, and shift times. Would give me something to shoot for.
