Good wright up and very true..Drive this car without the MC off on normal roads and you are looking for trouble..the ZR1 will get away from you very fast.

With your shoulder and my foot, we can field one entry.

Reminds me of an article about the Shelby 427 AC Cobra that I read in high school, except for the civilized part.

Good article. I guess I have to differ on one thing and many of you will agree with the article on this. I happen to think the seats are fine. I drove my ZR1 to/from Bowling Green/Houston and yes, I was stiff when I got out for fuel, etc. But I was stiff on the exact same trip driving my Excursion (twice). So it wasn't the seats per se. AND, as far as how the seats hold you in on the track. If you position them appropriately (as taught at Spring Mtn), I promise the seats are going to hold you in pretty firmly. It's all in how you position the seat, how you steer the car and shift and brake.

Regardless, the ZR1 is truly one BAMF!!!!

I will take the seats in any of the corvettes I have owned over the past 12 years for long trips rather than those in our 2010 CTS Wagon. The CTS seats are rock hard and will wear you out after a few hours.

Never did understand the seat issue - could be an exaggeration of the side bolster component?? The seats are quit comfortable although I will say the seats in my LTZ Silverado are a bit more plush, but there is a whole lot more room to work with in a truck.

Anyone ever drive one of the 350/380 MBZ SL's for a few hours, now there was an uncomfortable seat.

One way or another those cars are going to get you in them! The first thing I told the surgeon was I WILL DRIVE! Understand the NEED to want to drive it all the time
Hope your shoulder and all is better soon

Cool story--thanks for sharing ! I'm OK with the interior, acknowledging that dedicated track seats/harnesses would be better for recurring track use. For occasional track use, and everyday street use, the seats/interior are fine.
