Im there and will be bringing a barrage of cars with. Contemplating though whether or not to do the actual 1/2 mile. Might just spectate and tailgate.

Don't do that, here's why. Last July was the first event for the Michigan Mile at a Battle Creek airport. I thought the same thing, let me go spectate and see how its managed, then join the following year.

It was absolute torchure sitting there watching cars run and not being able to jump in mine and go. So sign up!

These events are fun, so don't sit around. If you aren't a drag racer and haven't read Ranger's sticky on how to shift, do so. At my first mile event I shifted 2-5 3 out of 5 times. After I read Ranger's write up I haven't missed any. If you are stock or lightly modified you should be well into 4th in the half-mile.

Thats what I was thinking of. I would love to run my built G8 and my Z, but the fiance will kill me if I drop another 2k+ for passes and new tires on top of the 5k im already spending to build the Z. Im sure ill end up signing up. I have to see of my friends are going to do it. They went lat year and just spectated, and said it was still very fun. Yet again they got plastered :/

I want to sign up for the michigan mile 7/4-6 as soon as I talk to my builder to see if he will come along as support. Sounds big.
