tire talk
I just ordered a set of Continentals ExtremeContact DW's from TireRack.. 335-25-20 &285-30-19 w/road hazard for $1231.00 shipped to my local store.
I don't do any road courses or real aggressive driving. I think these will be good for me. I really want the Toyo's T1R's; but they only had rears, and I didn't want mix-match tires. They will arrive on the 19th.. I am so over these run-flats...

from my understanding T1R are not made in 19" in our size…at least TK and others have not listed it…
I went to R888's, but I track mine and needed at minimum a PS2 performing tires or better….I think those are better….LOL

Let me talk about this next week after I see the new Continental's that are on Kristen Lingenfelter's C7Z at the track and after my "alleged" Super Sports from the Secret stash are installed.
Anyone have the vibration issue reoccur once the tires are replaced? My rotors were replaced and all the other steps done so hoping

just curious why nobody goes with the sport cup 2's. arent they supposed to be the best tire out there? is it just bc of the price and run flat? im looking for tires soon to and was gonna go with them but i dont see anyone with them

I'm assuming it's because of the wear rating? I've cups on my ZR1 and I'm curious how many miles I'll get. They are not the best in the rain either.

Burning Brakes
I use them, they are sticky, hi wear and I'll say good for sporty driving. If you want a regular street tire there are better longer lasting choices as others have mentioned, PSS etc.

they wear to fast for the street, and if you do a couple HPDE's with them (or even one week end) and you happen to be decently good at it you won't have much of any thread left, which then renders them pretty useless for "street" driving in case of "wet weather".
