Default Second most powerful factory Vette built C6 ZR1 on HRE P107

The C6 ZR1 and Z06 changed the rules for ever when it came to everything Corvette. In every aspect of the car, from how the frame had been completely re-engineered, its carbon fiber roof, carbon fiber diffusers, wood floor board, supercharged 638hp 6.2l LS9 V8, its 118K price tag, and of course to its Carbon Ceramic Brembo brakes. It held the crown for the most powerful American factory built car for over a year, and that in combination with its seven minute nineteen second record lap around the Green hell it was hard to believe there would be something faster anytime soon. Besides all the power it had it really did look a bit more badass than Z06, especially with Carbon Ceramics and the addition of Carbon Fiber body panels. Of course this badass Vette deserves a custom set of HRE Wheels to go with it's bespoke ZR1 heritage. Specifically P107s which really are the perfect choice to match the ZR1 with their split 5 spoke aggressive design and clearance for those massive carbon ceramic stoppers. We went with 20x10 & 21x13 increasing its ability to slap on a much wider front and rear tire. 375mm out back to be exact! Who doesn't want that? =)

Just in case anybody is doubting the balsa wooded floor boards lol

That looks sweet! But I want to correct your opening statement. The C6 had "basically" the same hydroformed frame as the C5 with minor tweaks (I know they had aluminum for the C6 too) and also the same balsa wood floors. I agree it is amazing how fast technology took the LS1 in '97 from 345hp all the way to 638hp in the LS9 in 12yrs time while meeting all emissions.

Love that car!

Thanks you Eric I wasn't too sure on the similarities and from what I remember Chevy was trying to jump ahead by a huge percentage and change the foundation as much as possible to advance.
