This LS9 powered C6 ZR1 sends 1,000-plus horsepower to the back wheels, and in doing so, has clinched the LS9 half-mile record.

What size rear wheels and what type (and size tires) on this beast?

Also, did he manage to keep his massive carbon ceramic rear brakes?

I didn't notice him doing any burnouts. Did he not do any before each run?

17x11 weld rts with a 315 35 17 et street r. Yes it still has the front and rear factory brakes. Did a small burnout to clean the tires off before each run.

Congrats by the way. That's one hell of an achievement.

So Mickey Thompson ET Street R?
How does they handle the repeated runs at that speed?

I bought 18x12 Forgestar C5F wheels. I have a twin turbo C6 ZO6 with twin turbos (probably make around 1200 rwhp) and was considering going with a M&H Race Masters, but they told me that their drag radials with blister and won't stand up to the heat of rolling up to 60 mph, then nailing it til about 185 or so.

Do you agree, and if you weren't using M/T ET Street Rs, which tire would you recommend?

Yes mt et street r. I have ran the m&h to 190mph but they are not really rated for this. Neither is the et street R but it's the sustained high mph which is where you'll see issues.
