Will C7 Corvette ZR1 Drive C6 ZR1 Prices Down Even Further?
Simply put, prices for the ZR1 are lower than ever.

You're kidding right?
First of all that ZR1 is a 1ZR option group which originally was $10,000 less than than the more common 3ZR and much less sought after due to the cheap interior, also the Lambo doors are going to detract from the value by a huge amount, plus it has 29,000 miles which are above average, I personally wouldn't give $45,000 for that car.

It depends on whether the C7 ZR1 is more than a restyled and rebadged Z06. How much more performance will GM push out of this platform and still provide a warranty? It will not be the incremental performance gain that the C6 ZR1 had over the base C6.

How did you figure that? Average car mileage on any car is 12000\year. Since this is a 2009 (that makes it 7 years old at minimum), with the existing mileage, they have put on an average of 4100\year. That is way below average miles for any car.
But I will agree that the lambo doors will detract a lot of buyers.

I'd be wayyyyyyy more concerned about whats going to happen to used C7 Z06 prices. But to answer that question, I'd say no. In fact the new ZR1 may even stabilize prices of 9-13's. Look at the prices for 96 Grand Sports. I think they've gone up since the reintro of the c6 G.S. Lastly, with only 4,000 ZR1's produced many previous owners (or their children) will wish they never let them go.

Heck with the c6, the c7 z06 will be in the crapper!!! It won't be abnormal to see a 2,000 mile car go for 60k no mater what level of trim it has, that's why I crack up seeing people on here asking 98k for a z06......wake up people, there doing 72-75k now with under 2k on the clock.

Lambo door? That's a huge $ discount. Who does that?
If the new ZR1 sells for 150k$ as posted in the c7zr1 thread, I don't think the value for the C6Zr1will be affected.
As others said, it's the c7Z06 that will bring the ZR1 prices down. That is, if you want a slower, less reliable and less exclusive car...

I recall seeing one of these at the Chevy dealer in Portland, OR for over $100k brand new. I thought that was sky high at the time.
if the bottom drops out of them, I'll buy one.

Supply and demand will determine where the C6 ZR1 stays. There are currently 55 available nationwide on Cars.com.......if there were only 2 then obviously they'd command a lot higher price. If they do drop into the low $50s, high $40s then folks need to jump on them like crazy because they are still supercars in terms of performance and in my opinion are still some of the baddest looking vehicles on the road. I do look forward to seeing the new ZR1....I'm sure it will be an insane beast!

The C6 ZR1 will take the C7 ZO6 on the straight. Twistys a little different. 1/2 of MSRP is not that rare for any 7 year old car. Now if your looking for a Atomic Orange 09 ZR1 they might be worth more. GM only made 25 of them.

The C6 ZR1 will beat the C7 Z06 by what, about 10 mph at most? And how many will ever go that fast in one of these cars? I'd take a C7 Z06 over a C6 ZR1 any and every day.

Ah, but would you have made the same choice if the C7 Z06 were available back then? By just about every measure the Z06 is a better car (at a lower price too!). Just saying....
I'd be thrilled with either since both can/would smoke my little Z51.

I just did. I picked up a minty Zr1 over a 2015 C7 Z06. I think the C6 ZR1 will be worth more and I just wanted to take it home more. The early C7 Z06's are a little early in production and will be further improved year over year like any model. Only the absolute best of any vehicle run is valued long term. Just look at 2007 - 2008 Z06's. 2011 Carbons and 2012 - 2013 Z06 with Z07 bring much more money than the early releases.

Myself I would rather have the LS9 engine over the LT4. I think the LS9 has much better components with the titanium parts and more expensive than the LT4, plus the LS design is a proven designed engine. In horsepower wise the difference between the LS9 & LT4 is only 12 horsepower. The LT4 runs an Active Fuel Management system which the LS9 doesn't as the LS design is more simple. If the LT design was so superior over the LS design then I wonder why GM is still using the LS design engines in the factory race cars the COPO Camaro's. These cars are running under 8.10's in Factory trimmed in NHRA. I don't see why GM didn't use the LT design in these Gen6 Camaro's?
