Default Reattaching muffler hanger - bolt tight fit

If you've done it before, you know what the issue is. How did you get the bolts started with such a small amount of clearance?

I'm having a hard time!!

use a ratchet wrench or gearwrench, put the hangers on before you install the mufflers.

It is a bit of a pita.

OK - this is good advice - at this point, it's time for me to try different solutions and that's a different one - will get a set of ratcheting wrenches

I only needed to remove 1 of 2 hangar bolts to install the tow hook, but I can
(1) remove the bolt on the other muffler hanger and
(2) reattach both hangers
(3) support the muffler with a jack to get it situated and aligned
(4) lubricate and re-insert the metal pointy things in the rubber connector things
(5) etc
