09 ZR1 two tone dash problems
I just bought my first corvette!!!!!! It has the two tone red/black interior. Everything is in great condition except the dash is pealing back. I'm mechanically able to remove the dash and have found the removal thread. I was wandering if anyone else was having this problem with their dash letting loose and if so is it capable of being saved without buying a whole new dash. Just bought the car and I'm out of money lol!!!

Sorry, but your going to need a whole new dash which will run you about $2500-3000 depending on where you get it. Don't believe me then take it to an interior shop and hear it from them. Been there, done that.

If it was all black, it will be easy to find a use one in great shape but red and black might be a different story. I think you may try Caraviggio Corvette. You may end up with a nicer dash for a similar price as a new one.
Good luck

I had the exact same problem with my 2013 when I bought it out of TX. I pulled the windshield and used contact cement to re-glue the areas that were lifting.
Worked perfect, this is a know problem with some C6 dashes the parts that were lifted on my dash had no glue under it
Once I repaired the dash I had the glass guys come back out and put me in a new windshield. The could have put my old one back in with no problem but it had some issues already so I just changed it for $650.
It was a whole lot less work than removing the dash and reinstalling it for sure.

You should be able to rebond that. Just take it a little at a time and plan your route.
Make sure to use the correct adhesive which is humidity resistant. Check out Weldwood "Landau top and trim" or similar. I would peel off the sections that are still attached near the glass and work back.

No luck stretching that leather. Definitely dry rotted! So 2 weeks ago I ordered a new one through corvettemods.com because anything over $199.00 has free shipping. They then emailed me Thursday and told me they needed another $299 for shipping to receive my item. This was only 1 of 3 problems I had with the 4 items I ordered from them. There customer service is horrible. I never received any call backs or emails that have resulted in fixing their issues except from a lady named Kaylee, however I am still waiting for an item to be shipped and in the process of the discussion about them shipping the dash they just emailed me and credited my card with the amount of the dash! Now I'm out 2 weeks, 2 weeks with a torn down car in my main bay of my garage, and no ****** dash! Has anyone else had this many issues with corvettemods.com? Anyone know of another route I could go to get a replacement dash from a reputable company that is willing to do business and man up to their problems?

My garage kept 2013 60th Anniversary just did the same thing but not as bad. It is just out of 36/36 and my GMPP does not cover trim items. Going to try and see if GM will make a exception since I have had 27 Corvettes since 1974! Waiting to hear as we speak.

Dash
I had this problem and got the dealer to replace the complete dash. Over $3000 job, recoup most of this due to being a long time customer.
I also had the windshield covered with clear ceramic tint (inside) now I'm crossing my fingers because this is another GM dash.........

Car at upholstory shop getting dash fixed. They pulled out the windshield and are stretching and re gluing leather. They just called me and said there was hardly any contact cement between dash pad and leather. This of course was the problem! Dealership trying to get GM to cover the cost since car is out of 36/36. Trim items not covered under extended warranty. We have not heard back from GM yet.
