National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS), it takes 20 years for a Corvette to mature to be eligible for NCRS Judging. NCRS eligible cars are persevered at the highest level.
I know you're probably not looking for something like that, but that is the lingo for a mint piece.

Too rough for me.......I'd want one that was NOT modified, cared for by the last owner (would want to talk to him/her) and not run hard....particularly a ZR1. If you have the option, personally, I would take it back and exercise more due diligence in the purchase. Your call.

According to the Corvette Action Center's records, it has some type of modification from Lingenfelter:

Dream car and beater should never be in the same sentence. Looking at the pics, the ton of times it's showing up for repairs (and who knows how many other times aren't showing up), and your description - I would send it back quickly while you still can for a full refund. Classic case of buying someone else's problem.
Who cares about the couple of "go fast" parts. For what it's going to cost you short-term to get it right - you could get a non-beater and buy the parts new yourself, and know what you have. And from the looks and sounds of it - that car may never be "right" and instead of being a joy in your life, it'll be a constant (and very expensive) reminder that looks overcame common sense. You don't stick your d&ck in a hot looking gal with VD - don't do the same here.
Get your money back while you can, have the patience, and you'll find a great car without buying something you're going to regret.
Best wishes...

Safety Car
I have the exact same car (color combo and rims) mine is a 1ZR though....it's an awesome color combo, that being said:
I'd send it back, you can pick up 09-10's for a little bit more money (60-62 I think) in great conditions....the mods don't bother me too much, but mods with oil leaks, eff that! and you paid 56k for this...by the time you fix the clutch, thats 4k right there (labor intensive)....nah, return it

Omg a fine example of the but there are lots of ZRs for sale out there cheaper. Many times there is a reason they are priced a lot lower.
Unless you or someone you know knows the owner the possibilities of what is wrong could be endless. Not everything shows on those reports. Know too many who bought the wrong car for the right price, making a huge investment in someone else's problems. Good luck in your search. There are good ones out there.
