Jokerz zr1 ported blower vs other ported blower
So today my customer Thomas riddle took his car to the Dyno at KP racing. He had previously dynod with another company ported 108 Lingenfelter snout ported snout with ported blower and ported runners then refined and Cleaned up by KP racing. Car made 775 hp on 76% e85. The car wasn't making the power it should. I then was contacted and I got a new blower ported it. I modified the zr1 snout by welding it and porting it a lot more. Then did my Lingenfelter snout to zr1 blower port. I did not touch the runners. They switched over to ignite e85 and tested that at 86%. There were no changes in timing from tune to tune. I will say the fuel probably added 30 horsepower tops. But to see the gains of 75 hp over another companies ported blower with runners. Just shows even at 850 hp you don't need to port the runners. Both Dyno pulls started with iat2 temps within 5 degrees of each other. Also the temps ambient were hotter today (100*) then they where on the last Dyno day. There was no change in iat2 temps between these two blowers. No drop in boost between the two. Nothing on a sensor or Dyno sheet to show flow increase helps the blowers efficiency. I killed the ported runners blower. It's a proper blower port. But to see a just on the low end 20 plus hp difference is huge. I thank Thomas riddle for the opportunity to work on his blower and his car. All this was done on a mustang Dyno at KP racing in Texas.

I tried to get this guy to port my snout and blower a couple of months ago and he wouldn't entertain it because the stock snout is garbage and blower isn't worth porting. Funny how quickly opinions change.

I'd love to, but I don't want to take my car apart in the middle of the season. A lot of CTS-V guys have had good luck with his porting and that is why I tried to get him to do mine. Run another deal next winter when I have the car apart again and I might be a customer. ;-)
