Cup2 is an awesome tire if you're willing to spend the money.

I agree! I just completed a 1800 mile road trip, including the Big Bend Open Road Race on them.

Isn't that more of a road racing tire though?

Was eager to get the Continentals -- ExtremeContact Sports, but due to the national backorder, contacted their customer care to find out next planned production date. Here's their less than helpful reply:

"Thank you for contacting Customer Relations at Continental Tire the Americas, LLC.

The Extreme Contact Sport 335/25 ZR20 is still in back order and we do not have a production date yet. Please check back regularly for update.

Thank you for your interest in our products."

That was the same message I got from their customer support. No time table as when they will be available. ( rears on back order ) I'm anxious to put on my Cup wheels.

I got this message from them yesterday about availability...

"[Web Inquiry: 170628-000046]

Thank you for your interest in the Continental ExtremeContact Sport. We current expect the tire to be available in October; however, this may change."

Keeping my fingers crossed. Don't know if "may change" means sooner or later?

The other thing about this new ExtremeContent Sport (not DW) is it is a very light tire compared to any other I've looked out. Overall weight reduction for 4 tires compared to PSS ZP is 14lbs. That is a lot of unsprung weight and rotating mass.
