Tire choices for C6 ZR1 wheels?
Looking for some help guys.
Bought a set of stock ZR1 chrome rims to put on my 2010 GS convertible.
Tire options seem to be all run flat in Michelin line in stock ZR1 sizes. Nobody else seems to have rear size options.
Not a fan of run flats.
What are you replacing stock tires with?
Thanks!

Yeah the above are options however I think the Invo is a pretty bad tire all in all. Maybe at a low power level they're better? I know on north of 600 WHP cars, even in 345s, they just don't bite, but if that's not what you're looking for then they're a great quiet smooth tire.

I have a set of Continentals on my 427 convertible with ZR1 wheels and improved ride over the original run flats. Also have another set of wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sports, another non run flat, and great ride and performance as well. Had Michelins on prior C6 coupe so had more experience with them. Can't go wrong with either one, in my opinion.

Yeah only size that would fit are the same size as OEM. If you go into tire rack, they're the exact match in size to OEM.

i just bought the Continentals Extreme contact DW got them for about $1100 shipped , i mounted and installed them myself so i saved a few bucks. Great tire , had really low road force , a lot quieter the the Michelin run flats.

DW vs. Sport
And now I'm reading trying to understand the difference between DW and the Sport. Seems that DW is more widely available right now, but tread blocks on Sport are supposed to be closer to Michelin Pilot SS. Decisions....

I replaced my Michelin PSS Run Flats with Continental DW Extremes and the difference was night and day....I loved driving with the Continentals. I just checked and the rears are on back order. One thing to think about is the width. The overall width of the rear is 13.5", just like the Michelins, but the Tread contact patch is not as wide. I personally did not think they looked any more "narrow" than the Michelins, but some folks will tell you otherwise. If having the fattest looking rear tire is important to you then it's at least something to think about.
