Default ZR1 Cats in Exhaust Manifolds - Max Power?

I wanted to get input on at what power level will the ZR1 cats in the exhaust manifold be damaged or have issues? Has anyone ruined theirs?

I do not have a ZR1, but I have an '12 GS M6 with a PD s/c, at ~ZR1 power (~537rwhp). I know many have ruined their 2.5" LS3 cats with blowers quite easily. I'd like to bump it up a notch (more boost & cam) and realize that I will have to remove them, but wanted to hear the experience others have had.

No cats in my 3" x-pipe (and I have full ZR1 3" exhaust w/ 3" Corsa axle backs). I'm looking to go to ~600-650whp.

Thanks in advance...

I'd get rid of the cats. Mine were destroyed on the dyno and I don't have many mods done to my ZR1. Car makes just over 600whp and 660trq.

Can anyone recommend a good high flow 3" cat for the LS9 engine?

I'm just finishing up a LS9 engine build for my next car and need to make it emissions legal hear in Manitoba.

Good choice. It's not a matter of 'if' they'll fail, but 'when' typically.

My stock cats failed with the car 100% stock. Kooks "high flow" cats failed at just over 600whp pretty quickly
