Default Use Up To $5,000 of Your GM Card Points

Attention Forum Members!

If you are a GM Cardmember you may be able to use up to $5000 towards a New Corvette!

Here's an example of a Corvette I have available:

Stock# 95105782
2009 1LT Arctic White Coupe
MSRP: $47,895
Invoice: $43,775
Sale Price: $41,992
Lucky Cardmember That Has Earned All The Points: $36,992

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

GM Cardmember Services is sending a direct mail offer that will allow select GM Cardmembers to redeem their Earnings above their Redemption Allowances. This offer is good toward the purchase of an eligible, new GM vehicle between 5/28/09 and 6/30/09.

OFFER OVERVIEW:

For a limited time, GM Card is allowing select GM Cardmembers to redeem more of their available earnings up to either a limit of $3,000 or $5,000 depending on vehicle.

Select Cardmembers can use up to $5,000 of their Earnings toward these 2008 and 2009 model year vehicles:
Chevrolet Corvette (excl.ZR1), Equinox, Tahoe, Trailblazer, Suburban

Select Cardmembers can use up to $3,000 of their Earnings toward these 2008 and 2009 model year vehicles:
Chevrolet Avalanche, Aveo, Cobalt, Colorado, Express, HHR, Impala, Malibu, Silverado, Traverse

This offer can be used in combination with most currently available GM incentives. Offer is valid on vehicles delivered from dealer stock between 5/28/09 and 6/30/09.

Please Note that this Earnings offer:
*Is only eligible to Cardmembers receiving the direct mail piece
*Can only be used toward one (1) vehicle redemption
*Cannot be combined with the GM Employee, Supplier or Dealership Employee Discount
*Cannot be combined with other Bonus Earnings offers
*Are valid from 5/28/09 and 6/30/09
*Are nontransferable
*GM Cardmember will need to present GM Dealership personnel with their unique Bonus Earnings Code provided to them in their direct mail piece.

I would like to point out that this offer will not be able to be used in conjunction with the discounted pricing I've had posted for the past couple weeks. That discounted pricing falls under the GM Employee Purchase Program.

Q & A

1. Are all Cardmembers eligible for the Bonus Earnings offer?
No, not all Cardmembers are eligible to receive the offer. Only Cardmembers that receive the Q2 mailing and provide a unique “Bonus Earnings Code” are eligible for the offer.

2. Is the Bonus Earnings offer transferable?
No, only the targeted Cardmembers who were mailed the offer with a unique “Bonus Earnings Code” are eligible to redeem the Earnings offer.

3. Are Bonus Earnings available on more than one vehicle purchase?
No, Cardmembers can redeem their Earnings offer towards only one vehicle redemption.

4. If a Cardmember has additional questions about the Bonus Earnings offer, or lost their Bonus Earnings Code, where can they get more information or find their code?GM Cardmembers can log into their GM Cardmember Services website to manage their earnings (www.gmcard.com or www.gmflexcard.com) and look for the Cardmember Offer Page or call 1-800-947-1000.

5. Can the Earnings offer be extended beyond the program dates?
No, the Cardmember can redeem the Earnings offer between 5/28/09 and 6/30/09 only.

I hope some of you Cardmembers take advantage of this opportunity while it lasts.

Thanks again for your support.

Wes,

I am glad you can figure out what GM is doing. My reading comprehension skills were lost after the first 10 sentences.

I will vote to have you hired as a NASA engineer after posting this thread----whew

Bare knuckles, if you have a GM Card you may be able to save up to $5k on a new Corvette. I just want people to pay attention to the programs available to them. For those who qualify for the discount, congratulations, I hope you buy from me.

NASA said I was overqualified.

Thanks again,

Wes

You qualify for $2k. Let's say you earned $1,750 in points, they'll top you off at $2,000. If you have earned $6,000 in points they'll allow you to use $5,000. The big deal here is that GM normally only allows someone to use up to $1,000 on a Corvette.

Thanks,

Wes

I believe that if you have up to $1499 you will be "rounded up" to $2000. If you have $1500 to 2999 you are rounded up to $3000. I just got the mailer today. My earnings are $1675 and was rounded up to $3000.
Man, this is tempting. Gotta get the wife to go along with trading or selling the Solstice.

I got that in the mail today. I have more than $6,000 earned so I guess I have an instant $5,000 down payment. I might have to act. Wes, I would like a Coupe, 6 spd, 1LT, either Grey, Red, or Atomic Orange. Have any of these?
