Default 2005 C6 Corvette Convertible

Well, I hate to part with it, but I guess as one man's dream ends, another begins. I paid sticker on this car when new; that what the climate was like back then.

Current asking price of this car is $34,610.

2005 Corvette Convertible - C6

Loaded - Z51, Power Top, Navigation, Heads Up Display, 1SB option package; 6 speed manual

Rare color - Magnetic Red - only a few dozen convertibles Vettes exist in this color. It just simply glows - looks like Rubies sparkling in the light. I traveled 750 miles to pick up this rare color as the color was being changed right when the production of convertibles began.

Custom Stereo - factory Nav head unit, JL audio amps, speakers and subs. Sounds astonishing!

This car was featured as Car of the Month on a website (PFYC) and is featured in internet advertising for JL Audio as a model. It has won awards at Corvette shows including Reflections in Glass, the largest Corvette show in South Florida.

It drives great, looks great, sounds great and turns heads. It has 20,300 well cared for miles; I personally change the oil, wash, wax, and detail the car myself throughout its lifetime. I have never let a dirty rag touch it. I park it far from other cars, close to curbs whenever possible. Rarely do I let the dealer touch it; never a valet. It rarely sees rain; only when I get caught. On rainy days, and throughout most of the summer, I drive another car.

Come see for yourself!

The car is in Boca Raton, FL.

Price reflects Blue Book retail value as of days ago - $34,610

Thanks for the kind words. IMHO, though, all newer cars are meant to be driven. It's unlikely any will become collectors cars, except maybe the ZR1's. I just take care not to take it out in the rain, in bad areas, or in parking lots with valets! lol

I kind of agree....REALLY a nice car but I might be afraid to take it out. I'm totally in the market to buy right now but I told myself I wouldn't buy something that I would worry about. You've done a spectacular job with this car and don't worry it'll sell because you've priced it right. Another good thing is that there are probably more people like you out there (who totally devote themselves to their car) than like me. I just want a nice car that I can jump in and buzz around for a while. This car needs to be sitting up on pedestal somewhere slowly spinning!! Great car! Why the hell are you selling it,,,,I think you're going to be very sorry, unless of course your buying a new one!

Thanks, again, for the kind words. I do indeed regret that I am selling it, but I do so mostly because it has become a luxury of which I no longer have use. When I purchased it, I had two infant children and, therefore, no passengers. Now my children are growing up, and my weekend car is forced to sit while I attend their sporting events, family events and such.

Therefore, my next toy will have to have a back seat. I'm thinking of selling this and the A4 you see above (just about to come off lease) for an A5 cabrio, lightly used 911 Cabrio, or something similar that I can enjoy in the company of my wife and two young ones!

Believe me, though, this car can be used as a DD; if you're in the market, don't opt against one b/c it's too nice. Buy the best one you can find and do with it as you please. Best of luck on your search.

Have you had any issues with it at all-some 05 owners had some difficulties with their first generation model!

I understand, I've been in your shoes with smaller children. I dont know if you live in an area with snow ( I do) but the Range Rover Sport is a nice family friendly hot ride also.

No, not really. I had a dead battery once; it was replaced under warranty, then never again. The power top failed once; it too was repaired. No major issues since, thankfully.

Actually, I'm in South Florida; I need (funny term, that!) a convertible!

Can you give me some info on the audio setup? Model names/numbers, etc? Any problems with the top down the way it is set up?

Please check here for my audio description. The top has no problem clearing it.

Thanks. Since the factory Nav appears to be in there I wasn't sure if you were using a JL Cleansweep or some sort of stock module.

Are there any other aftermarket parts on the car? Are all of the engine parts just painted stock parts, or are there any upgrades - exhaust, intake, etc?

No Cleansweep, just the PAC part. The engine and interior parts were my own parts painted by a body shop owned by a Vette driver . I had a Borla exhaust at one time, but removed it b/c of the resonance (vibration) that was intolerable btw. 1600 and 1900 rpms. The engine is stock.
