Default FT - 1968 Camaro A2W F2 SBC

I'm looking to trade my '68 Camaro for a nice C6. This is a beautiful, professionally built, meticulously maintained car. I've owned it since '06 when I bought it from an owner who did a frame-on resto. It was basically stock and a two-time Super Chevy Show Editor’s Choice award winner. Since then it has been out only on sunny days, never seen rain, and always stored in a climate controlled garage. I've attempted to evolve the car tastefully as a true super street car, retaining as much factory appeal as possible. I built this car to drive and dip into the 7's in the quarter (bottom 8s on a soft tune). It has a brand new combo, an air-to-water F2 Procharged small block Chevy, TH400, Fab 9 rear, and much more. It has only about 10 street miles on it, no dyno time, and no track time. Several friends have a similar combo and it should put out around 1200 RWHP and capable of cruising on pump gas and consistently running bottom 8's on C16. It was just finished and I just travel too much to enjoy a car like this. Paint is 9.5 of 10, interior is 9.5 of 10, and mechanically it is brand new. Chevy High Performance did a photo shoot in July so it will be featured in CHP mag soon.

The asking trade value is $45K. As a trade, I'm open to most any C6 of similar value, stock or modded, manual or auto, black or silver preferred.

Here are more spec's on my car.

EXTERIOR: Porsche Silver, correct black stripes, Glasstek 5" hood.

INTERIOR: Kirkeys (powder coated satin black) on custom brackets, OEM rear seat, stock dash w/ aftermarket pad, Covans carbon fiber center panel with four 2-5/8" Auto Meter carbon fiber gauges, driver dash has two 5" Auto Meter carbon fiber gauges in stock location, B&M Pro Ratchet, MSD LED mini shift light on dash, Lokar Midnight pedals.

INDUCTION (Oct '12): ATI F2 Procharger, 4" tubing, (powdercoated silver metallic to match car), Chiseled PT-2000 A2W IC (mounted under passenger side dash to allow a passenger), Chiseled 7 gal ice box w/ Rule 14A pump (in trunk).

FUEL SYSTEM: OEM style fuel tank with dual bung sump, narrowed, dual return bungs and vent, Magnafuel 500 pump (on custom tubular brace front of fuel tank), Aeromotive regulator with bypass, Braided stainless black fuel lines.

ELECTRONICS: MSD 7531 (inside glove box door), ARC touch screen switch panel (on halo), FAST AFR monitor (on console).

DRIVETRAIN (Oct '12): Proformance Transmissions TH-400 w/ Ultra bell, Griner TB, billet VB, PTSD driveshaft, custom integrated trans crossmember/tubular driveshaft safety loop, Fab 9 rear end, Mark Williams center section, 3.50 gears.

WHEELS/TIRES (July '13): Billet Specialties Street Lites, 15 x3.5 front, 15x10 double beadlocks rear, Moroso DS2's front, MT Pro 275's rear.

SAFETY: Custom stealth 10 pt moly cage w/ swing-outs (removable), hidden chute receiver, custom trunk chute storage mount (for cruising).

I had a 68 pro street a few years ago, I wish I would have never got rid of it. Your car is just simply awsome.

Additional PM's replied to. Some very nice cars, some good conversations.

Anyone looking to get out of a Z06 and into a super street car, let me know.

I had two offers at the asking price on Thursday. I planned to accept one and go get a silver 2013 ZR1 locally. But that night I took the car to the track for the first time to dial it in. After doing that, I'm starting to agree with you two guys. Not much can compare to this.

First time out so didn't make a clean pass. Pulled 20 degrees of timing out on launch, launched soft at 3500 rpm, 2/3 throttle through 1st, and went 1.25 60 ft coasting through the 1/8 at 5.82. Going back in a week or so to try to get a full pass in. The goal is drive to the track and go 5.30's or better. Then I'll turn it up...
