I have a friend that frequents down there for the golf & fishing (haha). I'll ask him if he'd be interested to make it interesting.

Taxes on my house are ~750.00. Small brick house, 1300 square feet, 1200 square feet garage in back. Crazy ain't it... I'm 6'3" myself, may be a little tight with a helmet. I don't track the car so I haven't tried it.

Taxes on my house are $10,000, so you're still better off. And it's no bigger than your house.

I always wondered how SC offset that low initial tax on car sales.

I'd be figuring out how to register out of state. That is ludicrous.

I mean if you'd like to use my address in Florida, I'd happily oblige, i'll even keep the car in the garage to make sure it is totally legal

That's why I love Texas.

No state income tax
No personal property tax
6.25% vehicle sales tax (everything else is 8.25)
My property taxes are 5000/yr (on a house that would sell for a million in California, lol)

The online calculators are wrong....you need to make 3 times as much to move from Texas to Maryland/Virginia/NY/Cali, etc.

Sorry for your loss.
