Default What's wrong with this car?

I don't have any connection with this car other than it's my FAVORITE C6 of all time. It's been on the market since the middle of last year at three different dealers. Not a bad starting price. And from what I can gather, one of maybe less than five produced like this. (Yes, I've been stalking this car. Just a little out of my price range.)

I believe the price is fair and a good starting point but I feel the color is what's hurting this ZR1.

I think the color combo is killing it. I love an atomic orange z, but the zr1 in this color combo doesn't work for me.

if it's the car of your dreams, no. obviously it is because you mention that you have been "stalking" the car in which case you really WANT the car. i did the same thing when i bought my CE GS last week. i was on the computer checking the car on the dealerships lot for quite sometime before pulling the trigger. they were asking $49900 at the time, a week or so later the price dropped grand. i knew if i didn't make my move someone else will because the weather was breaking which we all know is a big factor for selling and buying corvettes. called the dealer with a credit card payment to hold the car for a day or so, and bought the car a week later. the car only had 433 miles on the clock which now sits in my garage. went from a base 2lt to a GS 3lt and very happy about the whole out come. so again, if it's what you want, buy it before someone else does.

The problem is I already have a Z06 which is awesome and really would like to keep which means using cash to get the ZR1. (for my wife, "yeah I got it for you Honey.") But I have no place to keep it so now I'd have two reasons to move...

Saw a car like this in person at the museum in "09 awaiting delivery and just thought it was the most beautiful car we'd ever seen.

From what I can tell there only about % made in this color combo.

That color combo is not for everybody, although I personally like it.

So that limits the number of people interested.

Combine that with the price, which is too high, and that's why it hasn't sold.

Doesn't mean it won't sell, just will take longer and the dealer will have to be more flexible.

So let me get this straight, you already have a nice Z06 but getting a ZR1 you would have to pay cash, and you have no place to keep it?

I wish I had your problems, life is short, enjoy it.

Price is high considering the mileage. That splitter has a strange look as well. I don't think it's OEM. They are great cars but if you're serious, got to do your homework on it. Pretty sure you should be able to get it for less if it all checks out. If it does, you won't be sorry.

Nothing is wrong with the car, it's beautiful. I think it's perfect the color combo is rare and original. I love it. I think atomic orange is one of the best C6 colors. I'd buy it if I had the money, but I'm dead broke It is overpriced too, it should be like 59K firm, it is 6 years old already.

Burnt orange and blue is not everyone's cup of tea. Chevy really should have made the Z accent color variable. If the accent was just silver, black, or matched the paint it would be far less harsh.

Not exactly- Just because something is possible doesn't mean it's a smart thing to do. If I took our retire fund and bought another garage queen, I wouldn't need additional garage space- I'd need a cemetery plot!

I plan on keeping the last of GMs 427 (the Z06). But that ZR! is tempting!

I saw this car in person when it was for sale in Chicago. Color looked awesome. Price is high for mileage and age.

I meant my Z06.
It's a fairly early production 2006.
I don't think GM will build another 427 after current production supply/contracts run out.

I am always amazed that some of you cats can consider dropping 70 large on a car that is 7 years old. I would love to be in that position. Must be great. Good for you guys that have worked your butts off to be able to do that. I have worked hard since I was 16 but just moving up the food chain to an LS3 or (dreaming) GS is out there for me. Good luck with whatever you decide.

You just keep it at my place and then when you need it you just call and say "Donwil bring the car around". I would say right away Mr. Tascar. (I live in Omaha so it might be a few minutes lol. Problem solved. I'm so helpful.
