Default 2007 Z06 New Motor Boost Ready $29,800

Here's a nice black on black 2007 Z06. The car has damn near 200,000 miles on it and the motor has about 1500. Overall the car presents very well, it was incredibly loved. It comes with a ream of receipts and what I think is a build sheet? Were they laminated from the factory?

Here's a walk around video.

I bought the car with the original motor, I already had another LS7 that was built for 12-14 pounds of boost. It has .005 over Diamond forged pistons, they are dished to make 9.5:1 and it has a custom grind Bullet cam. I also added a McLeod RXT Twin Disc clutch. Heads have Manley stainless exhaust valves, fixed guides and decent springs. Crank and rods are stock LS7. Surprisingly, the car made 487 RWHP at only 6000 rpm on a very conservative tune. Like 12.7 AFR's and 20 degrees of timing. Considering it's down 2 full compression points that's very strong.

It has a clean interior, the driver's seat was redone at some point but you have to look real close to tell. The paint shines nice and it's been lowered on the stock bolts. Tires and brakes are new within 3000 miles. I built a custom cat back that uses Dynomax Ultra flow mufflers and twin 4" exhaust tips. It has a great tone around town and sounds like an exotic above 4000 rpm.

There is a check engine light that goes on and off because of the cam, P0300 code. The airbag light is lit, pretty sure it's the module. I checked the connectors and they're fine, I can't communicate with the module to get a code. It also has the intermittent front DRL/turn signal thing and needs the replacement harness. There's a scuff on the lower front air dam and it looks like the paint might have one spot where it was rubbed through. I own a specialty auto shop, we can take care of as much or as little as you'd like.

I'm offering this for sale because I found something else I want. My plan was to add a single S480 and make around 800 RWHP. This would be a great combination to add a supercharger to as well. Or put a more aggressive tune on it and leave the motor alone. I think it'll make 525-530 with more timing and fuel up top.

I'm looking for $29,800 for the car, I still have the original LS7 and I'd like to keep it but that's negotiable.

So how many miles were on the original motor, and how was it running when you pulled it out?

It had 196,000 when I bought it. I drove it another 1500-1600 before we did the engine swap. The car actually ran great! It had a very light intermittent valve noise which turned out to be a worn guide. The old motor made 35-ish pound of oil pressure at a hot idle, the new one makes 50-55.

We do a ton of LS swaps here, like one a month. This is the first LS7 I've ever experienced and I'm very impressed.

I rather have the built motor and lets be honest you aren't going to buy either so why **** on this guys thread with that nonsense? Go kick some more tires and pretend you are going to buy

Let's do the math on that one. $30k for the car, another $10k for the built motor. And that assumes you know how to R&R a motor in one of these all by yourself. And tune it.

Also assumes that you like yellow cars. Just sayin'...

Default C6z

Do you have more details on the car? How is the suspension being that it was driven so much? Do you have a list of parts done to it like exhaust, intake, suspension, parts in the motor, etc. I would love to have a built Z for this price and completely fine that it was driven. Any interests in trades plus cash making it easier for me to get into? Probably could sell my built C5Z pretty fast with low miles. Thanks.

I'm not interested in trades, I found something I want. If this doesn't sell, I'll continue building this car as I originally planned.

The motor is 100% stock internally besides a set of Diamond .005 over forged pistons (4.130 bore with a 23cc dish for 9.3:1), ARP head bolts and the Bullet turbo grind cam. It's roughly 230/240 and .585 on 116 lobe centers. The block was honed properly and finished for a mild turbo application for these pistons. It has new Clevite 77 bearings (rods & mains) crank is standard. Cam bearings are new from Clevite as well and the oil pump is new from GM.

The heads have decent no name dual springs (I use Alex's Parts out of the Bay area) that are roughly 130 on the seat and 350 open, also good to .625 lift. The guides were replaced and the stock exhaust valves were replaced with Manley stainless valves.

The rotating assembly was rebalanced after machining and included the clutch & flywheel. There's a new pilot bushing. The clutch itself is a Mcleod RXT twin disc.

Exhaust is totally stock back to the axle, I made a custom catback using Dynomax Ultraflow mufflers. It made 487 RWHP at 6,000 rpm. You can retune and make another 40-50 at the tire at redline. Add some standard bolt ons like longtubes and make more.

The suspension is all stock, I lowered the car all the way on the stock ride height bolts.

Going through the service records, I find the following major component replacements.

Front and rear tie rods at 152,787
New ECM at 139,434 (Dealer)
New clutch assembly, flywheel, water pump, throw out bearing at 98,616 (Dealer)
New radiator & all hoses at 135,469 (Dealer)
Transmission rebuilt at 99,216 (Dealer)

There's lots of tires, alignment, oil change, etc receipts in the pile. I also found the original bill of sale from the dealer in January 2007, this was a $79,000 car new. I had no idea they were that much.

The car drives amazing. I had a 2013 ZL1 right before this and the Z06 absolutely smokes the Camaro is every way. Handles telepathically, steps out at 4000 in second gear and third gear, brakes are crazy good. And the sound of the LS7 above 5000 is incredible. Even my assistant said something about the sound and she doesn't know the first thing about exhaust notes. Overall the car is very clean, you'd be hard pressed to tell the mileage if you didn't look.

Honestly, I have a stab at a 997 911 Turbo and I need to sell this to make it happen.

"Ron Baker" dealer receipts. I suspect this is JIMMAN's car.

He was known for making national road trips and getting "lost" (deciding to go for a long drive) on the way home.

The car is what it is.

Default Trade

Everything has a price so I'm going to try asking even though you said no. How much cash would it take to get you to do a trade for my built C5Z? I'm dying to get into a C6Z but I have a wife problem. Lol. Let me know. Thanks.
