History:
Traded my Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR into Carmax and purchased the Z06 in May of 2010. Intentions at the time were just ownership, and later figuring out what I’d want to do with the car. Shortly after owning the car, I attended a private Track Day at Thunderhill Raceway. I was and still am an inexperienced driver, but never really pushed the car to its’ limit. Shortly after the track day, I had the Halltech MF102 intake installed and tuned as it was. Later, I decided I wanted to have a more track oriented car, but knew there were some issues with the engine, so I decided to do a new engine entirely, and purchased a long block from Texas-Speed and Performance. I purchased PRC265CC Heads, a RPS Carbon/Organic clutch, and a LS7R cam, an electric water pump, PFADT motor mounts, and a new new exhaust..

While the engine was being installed, I threw on a set of B&B PRT Bullets, eliminating the stock mufflers completely. The car sounded absolutely fantastic, but due to the short fingers on the clutch, massive-flowing heads, and a mismatched LS7R (surging) cam, it was a nightmare to drive. It surged from idle to about 2,500 RPM in this setup, and I just hated driving it. I later swapped down to a custom Cam from Rick @ Synergy, which made the car much more tolerable.

After discovering a head issue with the PRC265CC Heads from TSP, I decided to have the motor redone completely at Synergy Motorsports, and this time it would be done right. I asked Rick to re-use any good parts that met his standards and buy new products to fit my request. At this time, I decided to keep the aluminum short block instead of going with a 454LSx, as tracking the car proved to be much more fun, and keeping the weight down was paramount. Rick refreshed the block, used a set of stock ported heads provided by his shop, and purchased new internals, as seen in the engine build below. The only items carried over were the Manley Crank and Rods from the previous build. During this time, and with advice from Rick, I decided to swap back to a stock LS7 clutch, as it holds the power just fine for road racing and has drivability. It’s a little light for my taste, but it’s much easier to drive across the board. The car has seen the drag strip a handful of times, and I have never launched it over 2,800 RPM. It’s never seen a set of slicks, or even a burnout during my ownership (hard to believe, I know).

Rick spec’d a custom cam that matched his heads and sorted my car. We put on Kooks headers and put my stock mufflers back on, which was nice having the muffler switch back to eliminate drone. It opens up at 4K RPM regardless, but it’s drivable well below that RPM for daily use. The car had a 95% Detail and CQuartz application done by Jeff @ Immaculate Reflections while still in California.

I later moved to Belleville, IL, and had to have the Vette shipped at a later date. It was quite dirty from open trailering, and with my new purchase of an Ariel Atom 3S, I don’t have a need nor room for the Z06. I had it shipped out here in October 2016, and subsequently had it detailed to another 95% correction with a transferable 5 year Ceramic Pro application by Matt @ St. Louis Auto Detail late 2016. It has remained in my garage, and was on a brief consignment at Gateway Classic Cars while I was out of the country. The car now currently resides in my garage, and will remain indoors until the car is sold.

My intentions with this car prior to selling it were to have a very streetable car that could be driven to the track or trailered to farther tracks for HPDEs. It had a Corbeau FX1 Pro seat with a Crow 6 Point harness installed for three of the four total track days under my ownership, which as been removed and the stock seat is back in, with all power adjustability. I’ve been pretty particular to this car, and have kept it clean between details and always garaged, save for maybe 15 total nights since 2010. It drives as stock as you can get with 563 RWHP and solid motor mounts, and is a car I’ll definitely miss once sold.

Miscellaneous:
- Comes with both Keyfobs
- Original Leather-bound owners manual & supplement material
- Roof recall completed (roof & halo painted black during this time)
- No active recalls at this time
- “Light” track alignment, all corners set at 1.5* Camber to not destroy tires on the street
- Dyno’d at 563 RWHP, 522 TQ on 91octane @ Synergy Motorsports

Areas of “concern” (me nitpicking pretty much):
- Tighten shifter **** screw (Shifter has slight play, but is still seated)
- Add foam padding between Gauge Cluster and Dashboard on top (slight rattling from solid motor mounts causes annoying vibration at idle)
- Driver speaker wire is intermittent (rarely used)
- Muffler Mod could be redone, rattling heard at idle
- New set of wheels and tires for daily use

Pictures can be viewed at the following link. I’ve included pictures of when I had a brief off-road stint, and pictures show that the car has been taken care of.
