i just bought a zr1 from a dealer with 4,065 miles. drove it for 1k then i dropped it to the garage to get it upgraded. i wanted to do bolt ons only but, a corvette with no cam is NOTHING, so i told my mechanic to do the heads and install a cam for me. next thing i got a text from my mechanic saying that i should see this !!! i got there AFAP and one piston is cracked that bent my rod and cracked my cylinder bore. i was really pissed off.

There has been a handful of ZR1 rollers passed around from the Houston/San Antonio/Dallas area through the last couple years.
Guys that mod them figure out that they are hardly "bulletproof"....
Strong for stock stuff yes, bulletproof, no...Damn sure not at 900-1000 rwhp.
I'll keep my eyes/ears open and post up if I see anything.

I strongly beg the differ on this. They really are the modern day 2jz Supra if you will in terms of raw strength . My car makes 800 wheel on a Mustang dyno for 2 years and 7 thousand miles. Stock clutch, rear end, diff, axles, bottom end ect.. Runs and drives like a factory ZR1.. 1000 actual “WHEEL HORSE” is radical AF out of stock car but if any car could come close on OEM componets its a ZR1.
