I would approach this seller with extreme caution.
Tried to view the car over 4 days no luck. Cant get phone number or adress from seller.
Most questions still unanswered.

texted and called the # u gave me on the day you wanted to view the car ( last wednesday, which i was at a conference all day) Never got a reply.

Did not get any Text or calls. I you're not scamming please answer all of the following questions:
Seller name and adress. Registrant of the car.
Interior black only? no color inserts? Photos of the interior.
Last service? by who.
Clutch and pad miles?
Any dings, scratches nicks. What wheels are fitted?
with 4000 miles I guess the tyres are 50% gone, how old are they?
Is the car never flood damaged.
Never repaired?

If you're local just go look at the D*** car.... If its me selling the car and you come in here and accuse me of being a "scammer" then demand that I post all of that and you are local to me, I'm telling you to take a leap (G version).

People have jobs... They don't just sit on the forum waiting for guys like you to supposedly buy their car.

Here are questions i'd ask you...
Are you genuinely interested in the car? Or tire kicking? Will you be paying with CASH?

fair enough.
On the 9th I write to enquire on the car, stating I'd like to view it next week.
Get a reply with some of the information on the 10th.
after a few more mails, I take the flight from europe to inspect and purchase the car as arranged.
Upon arrival in Texas, I get very few and avoiding answers. I repeatedly ask for email, phone or adress to close the deal and speed up transaction.
Even on the said day of the viewing, I have no contact details on seller.
I go and purchase another car (s2000) and fly home.

I apologize for the scammer labeling of the no doubt upstanding citizen that is offering the car.
But after traveling for 60hours in 5 different airplanes and spending 5 days. your politeness sometimes wear thin.
so there.
Still need an awesome Z06.

Let me see if I get this right, you flew in from Europe to inspect and buy this car, and were unable to do either? There sure seems to be something left out of this scenario.

You could have driven out to beautiful Lake McQueeney, thirty minutes from SA, to my lakehouse, and test driven my ZR1. It's not for sale, but enough money talks!

Sorry for your frustrating experience, unless there is more to the story.

I'm sure I could have spent more time researching the car/seller first to avoid this situation. But I really wanted the car so..
I offered 42K, as you do. Pending cond of wearables etc. I'm sure I'd have paid full price if everything was as new.

**** happens, perhaps seller is just too busy to sell his 3 vette's listed, or perhaps there is indeed more to the story.
who knows.

Ok. apologies for being MIA for the last week. TBH we probably should have spoke on the phone and made a plan if you were traveling a ton just to see and potentially buy the carbon. The wednesday you wanted to see it, i was away the entire day at a convention for work. This week i had to close a sale for a house. I know those are just excuses, but this is also an apology for being away.

I understand if you are no longer interested in the vehicle. I do have the report for the carbon if you would like me to email you. I would accept a 42k offer. The tires are almost brand new. No issues with a single thing as far i know. Clutch and pad are original. The 08 i have has over 100k miles with the original clutch, never a problem. The car is in wonderful condition, no flood damage. serviced at dealer. Gunn Chevrolet.
