2007 Arctic White A6 coupe 3LT, clean
SOLD!!!
Up for sale is my son's '07 C6 coupe, 3LT. I'm posting it for him because I have plenty of details on it, and he is not on this forum, but is obviously a close family member. I am available to answer questions on the car via PM, and can get you his contact info. I'm a 18 yr member here, and have sold a couple of Vettes here (last one was a '12 Centennial GS with Lingenfelter mods that the owner is VERY happy with), and have an impeccable reputation in the DFW hot-rodding scene for the past 25 years that I've been modding cars.
ONLY REASON FOR SELLING ... so he can purchase my 2002 Lingenfelter Twin-Turbo C5Z that has been in the family since new... a car he flew with me to pick up and drive home when he was just a kid. Lots of sentimental value in that car, and I no longer drive it... I have a modded C6 ZR1 and a Jeep Trackhawk.
2 owner car. Bought from an older gentlemen back in April '14... the guy was buying a C7. It had 22.5k miles on it then, and was completely stock.
Mileage is now 61.3k miles, but the car shows like a 35k mile car. Literally zero wear on the interior (you can see in the pics... driver seat bolsters are _clean_), and he just had paint-correction done.
This is a 3LT car with Nav, heated seats and memory package. It comes with BOTH targa tops (clear and painted).
Maintenance: Brakes done within last couple of months, including fluid flush and bleed. Oil changed every 3k miles by us. Fluids flushed at OEM recommended intervals. New S-belt a couple of months ago. New battery a couple of months ago. New battery cables about 6 months ago.
Modifications:
Wheels are Cup replicas (West Coast Corvette) with Michelin AS4 tires. Fronts will need replacing in another 4-5k miles. Rears are good.
Brake calipers painted red (we did this ourselves... turned out really good, and was done several years ago and the look perfect)
Lloyd mats
Mild performance mods (all professionally installed by 21st Century Musclecars, Addison TX): Stainless Works headers with hi-flow cat X-pipe and OEM axle back, mild 21CMC/LPE LS2 cam 224/228 so it works perfectly fine in daily driving with the stock torque converter, LPE CAI, engine and trans tune. I do not have the dyno sheet in front of me, but my best recollection is it made 390rwhp/369rwtq SAE (stock was ~325rwhp... LS2 with A6, remember).
I'm not going to overplay the power... it is what it is, but I've been drag racing for nearly 3 decades with cars ranging from 14s to 9-sec capable. This thing has never been down the strip, but should run high-11s on all-season street tires (my C5Z stock ran 12.3 @ 116 with 360rwhp... this car is definitely faster than that was) if drag racing is your thing. Trans shifts impeccably at low throttle input as well as at WOT.
Car is located in N. Dallas suburbs, where it has been its entire life (please forgive him for being a Falcons fan... I blame the Madden video game).
No issues, no codes, no lights on the dash, no stories, current inspection in Texas. Clear, clean title. Never been in an accident. Trouble-free, reliable C6 coupe at an affordable price. Asking $20k.

What does the car have for gear in the rear? am a drag racer and want a white automatic. But I am in Connecticut and that is a concern.
How sharp and crisp is the 6 speed auto?, does it knock down WOT shifts at redline ?, how does it come out of the hole (seat of the pants)

The trans was tuned for quality shifts at WOT, and yes, they are right at redline and absolutely no lag...as a properly functioning trans should be. How it leaves the line would be extremely subjective to describe... that will vary from one driver to another as to what they feel.
If I was going to drag race this car all the time at the strip and wanted every last .1 of ET out of it, I'd buy another set of rear wheels, mount some drag radials or slicks on it, and add more gear in the rear so it reaches peak trap in 4th gear at the 1/4 mile mark.

Car could use a 3.42 gear probably. Is that a issue changeing R&P in a 2 series rear? or can a 3.42 manual trans rear go right in?. Would you think $1000 to ship is reasonable from your area to Connecticut ?

Here are the A6 gear ratios for 2007, from my understanding:
Gear ratios
First gear 4.02
Second gear 2.36
Third gear 1.53
Fourth gear 1.15
Fifth gear 0.85
Sixth gear 0.67
Reverse 3.06
Final drive ratio 2.56
I would do a 3.15 rear gear, if it were me. Gives you some room if you decide to add more power later and won't have to switch back to a higher (lower numeric) ratio. I honestly do not know everything involved in a gear swap for these things, so please consult with a local shop you trust who can give you details on what you would need to do. I think ~$1000 shipping is probably in the ballpark. I shipped my ZR1 from Ohio to Dallas last year enclosed for about that. But again, please call some carriers and get a good quote. I don't have any real contacts with shipping companies, but if someone decides to have this car shipped, we can certainly make arrangements to be available for pickup.
