2006 Z06 in L.A., Stock, LeMans Blue, 51k miles $28K obo
SOLD!!!
Hello Everyone,
The time has finally come to part ways with my Corvette. My wife and I fell in love with Tesla, and with the second one on its way we just don't have room to keep the Vette anymore. I'll put the Cliff Notes up top, with full notes at the bottom for anyone wishing to read more. A quicker sale would be helpful, therefore, I will prioritize multiple offers based on the ease/timing of the potential transaction.
About the car:
Further Reading
I am the 2nd owner, having owned it for nine years. It has 51,xxx miles on it, 48k of which are mine. The original owner sold me the car in 2010 with just 3,700 miles on it, after he bought a ZR1. This car is almost entirely stock, does not have any engine / exhaust mods, and never has. The few small changes I made to it include installing a Mild 2 Wild switch which operates via the Homelink visor buttons, replacing the stock head unit with a Pioneer touchscreen (non-nav), and replacing the dull yellow interior lights with bright white LED's.
The car spent its entire time with me in Alaska, where it was driven only during the summer months and was stored during the winter. Last summer we shipped the car to Seattle and then drove it down to Los Angeles to make room for our first Tesla. At the time I intended to one day bring the car back to Alaska but that changed upon buying a second Tesla last week. I am currently in Alaska but the car is my dad's care in the San Fernando valley. I've sent him the title and a power of attorney form so that he can assist with paperwork if necessary. He can also offer test drives for those interested but cannot drive the car himself due to shoulder surgery last week. He is happy to be the passenger. I am hoping to fly down to L.A. later this week to detail it and make sure it's ready for it's new owner; during this time I am happy to meet with any interested people directly. I'll likely be there March 14-17. Outside of this time frame, I'm stuck with selling the car remotely and while not optimal, it's my only real option short of taking Tesla's rather sad trade-in offer on the car. I can field any and all questions and offers, and will coordinate with my dad to have the car available for test drives.
The car is in great shape mechanically, having never offered up any such issues, and continues to run very strong and very fast. I should point out however, that the heads are still stock and haven't been "fixed" or checked. This was a thing I was never aware of until a few days ago. That being said, it has 51K trouble-free miles on it.
I am a hobby detailer, though certainly not on the level of the pros. I've been able to maintain a mostly swirl-free finish and make paint corrections when needed on that basic level, so it shines well and looks amazing in the sun! The interior is similarly cared for; the seats are in great shape with light signs of wear; there are no tears or other forms of damage anywhere. Despite this, the car is not a garage queen and does have its flaws which I don't think are apparent in the photos.
I apologize for the lack of interior photos, but the one I included is the only one I could find. If you want specific photos, I'll try my best to get them for you, or I can take them myself when I get down to L.A.
If this sounds like just what you are looking for, please get in touch! I can PM my direct contact info to anyone interested.

Despite this, the car is not a garage queen and does have its flaws which I don't think are apparent in the photos.
- front air dam has a lot of scuffs
- rims have some curb rash (my fault...) and the RF rim has a little extra damage (scraped paint) on one of the spokes from getting too close to something in the garage as I pulled in one day.
- there are a lot of extremely small rock chips along the rocker panels and in the area of the rear brake duct scoops. While I had paint protection installed on the front of the car, at the time I did not realize those particular areas would get blasted too. They aren't really noticeable until you get within a few feet of the car. Several years ago I applied Dr. Color Chip to the areas and it worked great, but there are more chips now and Dr. Color Chip will no longer ship to Alaska. Again, they are quite small; there are no huge chips or chunks of missing paint anywhere on the car.
I apologize for the lack of interior photos, but the one I included is the only one I could find. If you want specific photos, I'll try my best to get them for you, or I can take them myself when I get down to L.A.

Yes, it sure is. Good question, I’ll edit this into my post. Thanks.
edit: are you in San Diego? That’s where this car’s first home was, and where I bought it from the first owner.

Price drop to $27K, or best offer. I am still hoping to make it down to SoCal sometime this weekend to beautify the car and collect its belongings together, so if anyone is interested is seeing the car, that would be a great time and maybe you'll even end up driving it off into the sunset! The car and I will be in the San Fernando Valley. If all goes well, I will be there from Friday night until Sunday noon.
